My husband and I are a young couple. We stayed in the lighthouse room. One word: Amazing. The room was pristine, and it's view was top notch. We looked at the other B&Bs in the town of Cape Charles (The Baywood is about a mile north of the bridge on a bluff) and NOBODY had the view The Baywood did. We were able to eat breakfast outside and chat with the older couple also staying. The breakfast was very nice and so was our hostess. We've been at other B&Bs on our travels and this was by far the most comfortable and relaxed one yet. Zero complaints with our stay. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed one night at The Baywood in July 2011. Every aspect of our stay was terrific. We went for two long walks on the beach and never encountered another soul. Our room was impeccably clean and had a balcony with an amazing view of the Chesapeake Bay. Breakfast on the porch was fresh and delicious. The owners were friendly and helpful, even accommodating my special dietary requests. I couldn't recommend this B&B more highly! We will be back!

Once again my sister and I stayed at this wonderful B&B on our way to NC. Fabulous stay. We'll be back.

We are a young couple … After a long drive down the Eastern Shore sampling crabcakes along the way (Metompkin Crab and Sting Ray’s were my favorites) arriving at the Baywood was a perfect end to a long day. Sharon and Mike were amazing in making us feel at home. The house is gorgeous and spotless – and the view! The view from the back porch of the Bay was incredible. The long lawn that runs down to the beach … the hammock swinging in the breeze … the chairs on the lawn . . . was so picturesque. After night fell and the stars came out, we brought a bottle of wine out to the chairs on the lawn to enjoy the sounds of the Bay and to gaze at the constellations above. The room was so comfortable and I could have slept in that bed for days! Breakfast was delish! I cannot stress enough that Sharon and Mike really go that extra mile to make their guests happy and comfortable. You can tell they really love running a B&B. Can’t wait to come back!
