My husband and I decided to meet some friends for a few days of snowboarding and relaxing to help ring in the new year. The elegant White House Inn next door had a three night minimum stay requirement. Our friends stayed at that hotel, while we decided to book with the Beaver Creek B&B because of time constraints. Big mistake. We were greeted by the smell of sewage as we walked through the front door and then awkwardly greeted by an employee of the B&B and some men doing work in the kitchen area. I have stayed at B&Bs before, and one of the nicest things about it is the personal and warm welcome you receive. We never met the innkeepers - though we tried to spend as little time there as possible! The place was not warm, cozy, welcoming, or tastefully decorated. Our room was not cleaned during our stay and to add insult to injury, we had no hot water New Year's Eve and had to go to our friends' room at the White House Inn to shower!!! I have never written a review of any place I have stayed, and I am not a primadonna but I felt compelled to redirect travelers away from this place.
