Windham Hill Inn is incredible...cozy, inviting, with so many places to explore. We stayed for just one night this winter and wished we could have made it one week. Katja and her staff are beyond amazing.

Each detail was perfect, from the fresh fruit and chocolate in our room, to the orientation tour the Assistant Innkeeper gave us, all the way through to a delicious extensive breakfast the next morning with the offer for spring water for the trip home.

Take the opportunity to visit and it will quickly become one of your favorite memories!

As most others have described, Windham Hill is a lovely inn with excellent, well-trained staff. Katja is an exceptional innkeeper. Everything you could want is available at the inn. Great CDs, maps, brochures, historic pictures, tea and coffee, evening cheese, etc. We stayed in a fireplace room. It was rather small (only one cozy chair), quiet, and pleasant. The plumbing was noisy--hard to get hot water without screechy pipes--not meant for a relaxing shower. Breakfast was very nice, with multiple options so one didn't have to chow down on something sweet and buttery if not in the mood. Thank you! On our second morning, I had one of the best inn breakfasts I've ever had--poached eggs and outstanding smoked salmon. (The description doesn't do it justice.) We did not eat dinner at the inn. It would be hard to do so and spend less than $250 with the prix fixe and a very modest bottle of wine from their list. Just too precious. The grounds of the inn are stunning, the woods are lovely, and there are multiple walking trails.

We had a quick one night weekend escape to the Windham Hill Inn in November! What a treat. The property is located high on a hill with lots of beautiful hiking trails. It is very away from "civilization" so if you are looking for a place with lots of activity and things to do -- this isn't for you. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it! From the minute you walk through the doors to the property, Katja and her team couldn't be more welcoming. They offer compimentary afternoon tea and the entire inn has a very warm inviting atmosphere. They have board games, books, movies and a great bartendar who mixes up wonderful margaritas. The restaurant is just fabulous. We are from NYC so I don't say that lightly! We had the tasting menu which included foie gras and lobster -- really is there a better combination! We can't wait to return!

This was our second visit to the Windham hill inn, and we are definitely coming back for some tranquil time, to relax an enjoy the amazing scenery of Vermont.

We came for two nights during the new years eve weekend, and we had the usual amazing personal service offered by the innkeeper and all her gracious staff. The freshly cooked, distinctive and flavor abundant breakfast in the morning, and we splurged ourselves in one of the best new years celebration we ever had. There a nice jazz band playing, fire going in one of the rooms, and just the perfect combination of great food and wine, and the best part of it? We only had to walk a few feet to reach our room. We cannot recommend this place enough, it has won our hearts.
