“The best Bed and Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Where to begin, this is the BEST lodge my family and I have ever been in. Greg and Willie were amazing. My wife, daughter and had gone to Canada and a storm was hitting he area and the the highway had been closed because of accidents and icy roads (I guess) so we received a call from Willie to see if we were OK, which we were and we're right up the street from the lodge having dinner. When we tried going up the hill to the lodge my car didn't have the tires needed for the snow and got stuck. When I called Willie Both Greg and Willie came out immediately to help us. I will reccomend them to all my friends family and business associates. Guys thank you very much for making our vacation INCREDIBLE. See you in Christmas again and I'm trying for the summer also. The room was immaculate.

Room Tip: The mountain room is the best for me, I was able to see the mountains with snow. But there isn't...

“Magic in the mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

I love to travel and see new things. So one of my rules is that once I have visited a place, I check it off my list and don't look back. Vermont is an exception to that rule, and a big reason for that is the Moose Meadow Lodge in Waterbury.  It is a picture perfect cedar lodge that sits as the centerpiece of 85 private acres.

We are driving back to Vermont today for our second stay at Moose Meadow. I am not sure what I am looking forward to the most. The rooms are amazing. Each one has a different theme. This year we get to experience the Teddy Bear room which has the extra bonus of a double shower and heated floors. There is also a private deck off the room that has amazing views of the Vermont landscape. Just beyond the lodge there is a private pond that is stocked with trout. I am hoping the weather cooperates and we get a chance to try our luck with fishing.

As beautiful as the lodge is, the real difference with this bed and breakfast is the owners, Greg Trulson & Willie Docto. Willie is responsible for creating a great start to each morning with home cooked breakfasts that range from French toast, pancakes and Vermont favorites of smoked sausage and bacon. Greg is a true showman and makes sure everyone is entertained during the meals.  His stories and local mysteries kept us on the edge of our seats.

Our visit last October was one of the most special vacations I have ever experienced, and I have high hopes that this year will be just as good!

“Wonderful Vermont B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

Moose Meadow Lodge was a wonderful experience – entertaining and relaxing from first to last moment of our visit. The Lodge is very comfortable, and our hosts Willie and Greg made everyone feel at home. The views from the front porch are splendid, and it was a wonderful place to start the day with one of Willie’s delicious breakfasts or to have a glass of wine in the evening. We enjoyed exploring the grounds- especially the hike to the Skyloft and the hammocks down by the pond. Greg is an accomplished story teller, and he and Willie provided helpful information on restaurants, places to cycle, and interesting sights off the main roads. We’re looking forward to a return visit!

“A Lodge Right out of a Fairy Tale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

It took us ages to arrive all the way from Israel with 18 hours of flight and driving - and all our efforts were worth it. We travel quite a lot around the globe and use Tripadvisor as our main source for booking accommodations. This was the first time that the reality was way above expectations!!!

The Lodge is a fantastic structure, a rustic look on the outside becomes luxurious on the inside. Each room has its own theme, like the Bear Room, and Creel Room - which was the room we had. The room was decorated with items from the fishing world, like hooks, fishing nets and fishing rods. Our bathroom had a painting of a fishing scene and it looked like the real thing.

Guests can use the T.V lounge which was decorated with stuffed wild animals like: bear, moose head, deer horns and much more. The broad kitchen was really open all the time, with a coffee maker, jug of hot water with a wide selection of upscale tea bags, and we were able to use the refrigerator to keep our own stuff.

Breakfast was served on the terrace facing the garden with all the guests together. It was incredibly fresh and innovative; Willie woke up at 7am each day and made us something new and tasty, like White Whole Wheat pancakes with real maple syrup, blueberries and oranges.

The most important thing is that we felt like we were at home and made some wonderful friends during our stay, and got many tips regarding where to dine and what to see.

Moose Meadow Lodge can be described in two words: Fantastic and Unforgettable!!!
