The property is tucked away up a hill and looks a little uninviting from the outside, inside the property is clearly lacking attention in some areas. The rooms are functional, However the bathroom appeared old and tired, the Chris Suite has a skylight which for some reason is boarded up.
There is a certain rustic charm, but a lot of work needs doing to the property which clearly hasn't been done lately. When you have a shower if anyone else flushes a toilet in the property, the water stops flowing. There is next to no sound proofing, so you can hear every word from other rooms when you are trying to sleep. Whilst you should be able to trust in your fellow man, having no locks on the bedroom doors when you go out for the day is a big concern, especially if you leave anything of value in your room.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with lots of advice about the area, it was a pleasure to chat with them.
Would we recommend anyone to stay here, unfortunately not, as friendly and helpful as the hosts were and irrespective of general prices in the area this property doesn't warrant the price of $125 a night. We have stayed in loads of budget Mom and Pop motels that are in better condition than this.
