In the 80's and 90's, while our children were growing up, we spent many vacations at the Battleground condominiums. It was a low-key, comfortable escape in a beautiful setting. This August, we returned after about a 10 year gap, with our now grown children, their partners, and a grandchild, and found it remarkably unchanged. It's not a hotel and definitely not for people seeking luxury, lots of services, or lots of activities (although there is a beautiful pool, as well as some tennis courts--could use some resurfacing--and hiking on the property, as well as lots to do in the area). Our three-bedroom unit was comfortable, attractively furnished, and well-equipped. We had a relaxing and reasonably priced week in this beautiful part of Vermont (but what part of Vermont is not beautiful?) and would definitely return.
