We enjoyed immensely our three night stay at the Apple Hill Inn. Our spacious suite above the garage had views in all four directions. Besides the comfortable
queen-size bed, we enjoyed a sitting area with wingback chairs which looked over the village of Taftsville to a stretch of the Quechee River and the wooded hills beyond.
Separated from the bed by a wall of books was a full kitchen with views of the garden and pasture. The rooms are all simply but tastefully decorated with contemporary prints hanging on the walls, hardwood floors with area rugs.
The innkeepers, Beverly and Andrew were warm and friendly. Beverly bakes wonderous
pastries including a Swedish pastry ring to live for and delicious stuffed French toast. She
and Andrew entertained my family with stories of their innkeeping experiences as well as
their previous careers. All of this and only three miles to the shops and restaurants of Woodstock, VT. My wife said, "This is my idea of heaven."
