“Vermont's hidden gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My wife and I decided rather last minute to try to get away for a weekend, and after some online searching, found a listing for this inn. Once we arrived, we were totally blown away! The inn itself is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. The best part are the innkeepers, Bev &Andy Cook. They are so warm and inviting. It doesn't feel as if you are "away". You truly do feel at home here. We are already planning our next stay.

Room Tip: try to get the heirloom room, it overlooks the valley, yet the sun rises on the other side of the in...

“Wonderful Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

My husband and I spent New Years weekend at this incredible inn. Our room was beautifully made up with fresh, crisp linens and towels. The gas fireplace in the room added to the wonderful charm of the inn. The atmosphere of the whole inn is warm and relaxing. We also love the decor of the inn. The innkeeper Bev is warm, personable and entertaining. She is a fabulous cook. Breakfast was a feast everyday with fresh pastry made in the morning. She makes it all look effortless. The location of the inn is perfectly located between Quechee and Woodstock high on a hill overlooking the valley. It is very picturesque. We are looking forward to a return trip to the inn.

“Vermont's B&B Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Fabulous food in a clean, warm, and friendly bed and breakfast. The inn's charm is a reflection of the owner, Beverly Cook, and her comfortably decorated home with many antique finds. The views of the Woodstock/Quechee area are spectacular from almost every window in the inn, and there are countless windows. Plan your next VT stay at the Apple Hill Inn; you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Bedrooms on second floor are over the top spacious with their own bathrooms, and the view from the f...

“The highlight of our holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

We booked Apple Hill Inn as a stopover on our journey from Cape Cod to the Adirondacks - it turned out to be a top highlight of our holiday. The house is wonderfully situated with views of the surrounding hills. Our room was beautifully designed and spotless. The towels and sheets were crisp and fresh and luxurious. The owners couldn't be more welcoming and the breakfast simply couldn't be beaten. Scones and muffins and french toast (all baked that morning) and fruit salad and yoghurt and eggs and sausages and....Need I say more?
If you're going anywhere near the Woodstock/Quechee area then this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: The Paradise room fitted the five of us with room to spare, has a great view and a very well equippe...

“Perfect for Dartmouth Visits/Graduation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

We couldn't agree more with all the reviews that have extolled the seemingly unending virtues of this inn and its fabulous innkeepers. The setting of the inn - on a hill surrounded by beautiful fields and flowers - is perfect. Both the guestrooms and the public rooms are furnished in exquisite taste - and we were lucky enough, during our most recent stay, to experience two new ones, which are particularly wonderful. The breakfasts can't be beat - homemade, yet expertly prepared and presented. Perhaps most importantly, innkeepers Bev and Andy are two of the most interesting, helpful and friendly people we've ever met. They make a stay at Apple Hill the truly special experience it is.

What we haven't seen mentioned in other recent reviews is the fact that Apple Hill is an ideal spot to stay during visits to Dartmouth - a scenic 25-minute trip away. And that's particularly true during graduation weekend, when Hanover is overrun with celebrating families. We were lucky enough to stay at the inn during the recent 2011 graduation weekend, and couldn't have been happier. The inn was a terrific spot to relax as a family during downtimes over the weekend. Bev was up early with us the morning of graduation, preparing individual breakfasts to go. And she also prepared a special family luncheon for after the ceremony. Perfection!
