“Pleasant surprise!”

My husband and I recently traveled to Stowe with our two children and had a room reserved here. For most of my life, I have just driven back and forth along the Mountain Road without giving this place much thought. Well, we should have been giving it more attention!! What a great place! Upon opening the door to our motel style Deluxe Efficiency room, we feasted our eyes on a very spacious, clean and updated room. We were a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), but you could easily have fit a family of 6 (although their website says the limit is 5). It was also great to have the small kitchen if you want to cook. And, on top of all of the other great things, breakfast is included. Oh, and did I mention that the staff was pleasant and super accommodating! What a great place to stay and great value! If you know Stowe, you know that accommodations can sometimes be pricey, especially for a family. Well, search no more. Don't overlook this place. Give it a try. I think that you too will be pleasantly surprised!

“Can't say enough”

Our family of 3 stayed for 3 nights MLK weekend. We were blessed with fresh snow. We stayed in a FP efficiency and it was GREAT! I showed our son a picture of our room on the website before we left home. I told him to remember how the picture is always better than it truly is. WOW was I wrong, it was exactly as represented and even better!! SO CLEAN. EVERYONE SO NICE AND HELPFUL!! little extras like bath gel in the shower and a fire all built and ready to go was a nice surprise. After a good complimentary breakfast at Stowe motel each morning we were ready for our day.( EXCELLENT FRESH BAGELS) We used Stowe as a home base and then went skiing at Killington and Jay Peak. We also spent a day at Von Trapp for some CC skiing. Ate excellent dinners in Stowe and watched the Giants win a great game at a local pub. I would highly recommend Stowe Motel. As a side note I have never, ever written a review for any place I have traveled before. This is how impressed I was.

Thank you for such wonderful comments about our staff and property. We are glad you enjoyed the hearty continental breakfast. On weekends, we often get our breakfast bagels from "the Bagel" in Stowe, yes, they are delicious!

I appreciate that you noticed the picture of your unit really represents what you rented. It's very important for us to be honest to guests, let them know ( by pictures, or description on the phone) what they have rented. We don't try to be something we aren't. We are not a resort, but we are a nice, clean, friendly, reasonable motel.

We have just started the bath gels in some of the rooms and am glad you liked that, I will pass the comment.

It means a lot to us that you were so impressed with our property that you wrote your first Trip Advisor review. We really appreciate your wonderful feedback and hope you can visit us again!

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Our room was super clean. The housekeeping staff does a great job. We had an efficiency room, nice to have a fridge, sink, and microwave. The fireplace was a nice way to warm up after being outside in the cold. The staff was warm and friendly, and very helpful with ideas for dinner and activities. The location is good, near restaurants and shopping and activities. We would love to visit again in the summer or fall, to be able to see more of the area on foot or a bike.

Room Tip: You can check the map on their web site and get a good idea where the rooms are located.

Thank you so much for rating us a 5 out of 5! We really appreciate your wonderful comments and pleased that you enjoyed your stay here. The map on our website does help show where our units are, thank you for pointing that out for others. The summer is a wonderful time to visit as well, with free mountain bikes for the nearby recreation path, heated pools, tennis, bbqs, and more available on our property. We hope you are able to stay with us again. Thank you again for taking the time to recommend us on Trip Advisor.

“Two nights for early season snowboarding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

I spent two nights at the Snowdrift for some early season snowboarding. Our room was clean, in good repair and obviously was well-maintained. Our room had a small refrigerator which kept our beer cold. I paid $136 a night during peak season right before New Years eve. Reception was very friendly during check in. I'd look elsewhere if I go back to stowe with my family as we would need more than one room, preferably a house. But for a pair of friends or a couple who is in the area to ski, this is a great place to crash.

For the price, the Snowdrift is a great deal.

“Good location and good value.”

Stayed 2 nights in a Delux Efficiency Room which was clean, pleasant and enough room for my wife and I as well as our 2 sons. There is a small kitchen and a breakfast was available in a small breakfast room or could be taken back to your own room on a tray.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended the local production of Oklahoma which was on in Stowe City Hall - it was excellent and I recommend any future prduction this company put on!
The hotel pool was very pleasant and there were lots of other facilities available which we did not have time to try (eg bikes, hammocks, sports equipment).
The hotel is also very convenient for the skiing area with the road to the resort passing the entrance and I understand there is a bus for skiers (we were there in summer).

Thank you so much for the wonderful recommendation of our property on Trip Advisor. The Deluxe Efficiency units are very spacious and popular with families because of the kitchenette, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here. Stowe has some wonderful plays, glad that you were able to see one. I had gone to "Annie" several years ago in Stowe and was amazed with the quality of the production too. I hope you can visit us again. Thank you again for taking the time to let others know about your wonderful visit to Stowe.
