“Can't wait to go back there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

Crisanver House was amazing... Comfortable, clean, warm, inviting and so much more. i went for a weekend with my daughter and had a great time. The food was delicious and the staff welcomed us with open arms. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. The view from the conservatory is amazing at dusk. I can't wait to go back there!

“The definition of a charming Vermont Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

What a great spot. A bit isolated, but that is a good thing. A beautiful rural setting, great hospitality...terrific. The common areas are large and take full advantage of the great views of the valley. The host and hostess could not be more engaging--we really enjoyed getting to know them and talking with them at length. The food was very good and you get the sense that they truly care about your enjoyment. The room was very pleasant. Great pool, tennis court and lots of room to explore outside--a great spot for a couple or a group looking to spend some time together relaxing in beautiful Vermont.

“A wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2008

We stayed for two nights and were overwhelmed at the welcome and hospitality afforded us in this beautiful part of Vermont. Crisanver House is certainly one of the best and most comfortable places we have experienced in our travelling experience. We were fortunate to have great weather and took advantage of the superb gardens and swimming pool. We would recommend this place to anyone even though part of you, rather selfishly, feels that you would like to keep it to yourselves!

  • Liked — The comfortable bedrooms and bathroom and home cooked breakfast.
  • Disliked — No adverse comment at all

“A wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2007

Crisanver House is very difficult to find but when you get there it is brilliant. We stayed here during a three week vacation in New England. There are so many things that are good about Crisanver House that I could easily forget some of them: anyone thinking of staying here will not be disappointed. The owners, Carol and Michael, are very friendly and you feel more like you are visiting family members than paying guests. If we came back in the afternoon they would always produce tea and something to eat. We needed to keep in contact with our grown up children back home via email so Carol simply set up her laptop for us to use. The other guests we met there were also very friendly and interesting people. The view from the balcony is amazing with brilliant sunsets. Breakfast is excellent and the breakfast staff are also friendly and very helpful. Our room wasn't large but it was clean and perfectly adequate, but best of all was the excellent shower. This truly is a wonderful place to stay.

  • Liked — Friendly owners, staff and other guests.
  • Disliked — Nothing.

“An Enjoyable Experience”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Crisanver House for 2 nights. We booked the cottage with the jacuzzi tub for both nights, but because of the snow, we had to stay in the main house the first night. The room was very lovely and clean. We felt very welcome. The next night they plowed and we were able to stay in the cottage, which was gorgeous. The jacuzzi tub was a great way to relax after skiing the entire day. The room was decorated in exquisite taste. The food was sensational. The sunroom, where we ate, was definitely my favorite place to be. It had a fantastic view of the mountains and a fireplace. The owners were very personable and we enjoyed every minute. They lent us their snowshoes to hike through the trails in the back of their house to the lake. They also made us hot chocolate after coming back from skiing and snowshoeing. At the end of our stay, they were fair in pricing us for each room we stayed in, and kept in mind the inconvenience of moving the second night. We had a wonderful experience and we plan on visiting again.
