My wife and I stayed at Willow Pond Farm for 4 nights during "leaf-peeping" season, and we owe this B&B one of the most unique and memorable stays we've had throughout New England - in a good way, since you wondered.
It starts with the surroundings of this property, which are idyllic. Though Burlington is just a fairly short car trip away, this part of Shelburne is wonderfully removed from any traffic noise or light pollution. The house itself nicely appointed. Bed/bedroom was comfortable and clean, as was the private bathroom. I keep all this short, because in this B&B everything comes down to the hosts Zita and Sawyer - and these two made our time there so delightful that we found it very hard to leave. The often-used phrase "make yourself at home" for once was filled with actual meaning; you are their guest in a personal, not businesslike sense. You will find both of them curious about you in a non-intrusive way. What else: Delicious breakfast is provided every morning at a large communal table, which is not awkward at all - again, thanks to the hosts.
