My wife and I along with another couple stayed here last June while on a New England motorcycle trip . We enjoyed the swimming pool and the friendly outlook from the hostess. She allowed us to inspect the rooms before we committed to staying. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The continental breakfast was mediocre, but how good can that type of breakfast be? The value was average as the room was $75. Not expensive, but not budget-material either.

I worked as a maid at The Yankee Traveler a few years ago. The staff takes care to thoroughly clean each room. The heaters are vacuumed out, all surfaces are cleaned including moving furniture to clean under them, televisions, chair and table legs, shower curtains, etc. The rooms have beautiful wood walls which are cleaned regularly. I am disgusted at the bigger hotels here in town where only a minimum amount of cleaning is done in the rooms. How can anyone rave when the rooms are so dirty! I recommend this hotel to every person that wants to stay in the cleanest and friendliest hotel in Saint Johnsbury.

I was intersted in reserving a room at the Yankee Traveler on the internet. However, all I got was a complex effort to sell all St.
Johnsbury hotels with no way to find room price and availability. I wasted over 1/2 hour on this and finally called the hotel on the telephone. So much for progress.
