“Can't wait to come back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

We stayed at the Hawk Inn and Mountain Resort President's weekend. It was expensive but, well worth it! We stayed in Ledges which is one of the townhouses about 2 miles up a winding mountain road behind the Inn. Already we knew we were going to love it. We had a three bedroom townhouse and it was very clean and extremely spacious. Wood burning fireplace all ready to go when we got there with plenty of wood right outside the door. Kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, etc. The bathrooms were very clean. It felt so secluded up in the mountains and exactly the type of long weekend we wanted! We were so happy and had a great time! We went to the River Tavern for dinner and the food was good. It was a little crazy at the main inn as there were alot of little children running around mostly unattended by parents. So, we knew we made the right choice by staying at the Ledges. My teenage sons enjoyed the outdoor pool and the sledding and my husband and I snowshoed for the first time. So many things included to do. The staff at Hawk Inn was very nice, extremely friendly and helpful! Skiing at Okemo was excellent! 219 trails and plenty of terrain parks. My sons loved it! It is about a 10 minute drive from the resort. We are already planning a trip for next year! The folks in Vermont are so friendly!

“Such a relaxing place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2011

The Hawk Inn and Mountain Resort is such a beautiful and peaceful place in vermont! I went here back in september for a weekend getaway from friday night to monday morning and it was so much fun for my kids and I. The rooms were also very clean and the TV had many channels to watch. We had dinner at the River Tavern and it had the best food and wine! We also enjoyed swimming in the indoor and outdoor pools! We also had a great biking trip up the mountains. The service was also very good too! They had positive attitudes when we requested for something and they were always happy to help! This was such a PERFECT getaway for me and my kids!! P.S. if you are planning on going september is the perfect time to go.

“Nice Thanksgiving”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2010

Spent Thanksgiving with the family. Rented a Mt. Villa. That is the way to go. Tons of room, well equipped, heck it is someone's home. Nice and quite ... no cell phone service. Believe it, it is a nice break.

The outdoor pool is something else. Warm, warm and warm. Nothing to bother you, great star gazing. Perfect.

Thanksgiving dinner was just right, not too full but certainly not hungry. Lots of good wine, fair prices and an attentive staff.

We practically had the place to ourselves, which was nice but I can't see this place getting anywhere close to hectic.

Come to Hawk to relax, take a swim and stay a while, we did and went home relaxed.

“Activities at Hawk Inn are Not as Advertised”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Stayed at the Hawk Inn in the Ledges for 4 nights. Very active family of 6 with 4 kids. The activities are not even close to what is advertised on their website. The so call swimming pond is not anything we would ever swim. A staff member told us this and we didn't think it could be that bad until we saw for ourselves. Of the 4 days there the pontoon boat which takes you to the water trampoline on Lake Amherst was broken down. The trampoline itself is in serious need of replacing but it is a blast when you can get out to it. There are no horses so scratch that off you list. The mountain biking trails they advertise as 4 miles long are actually less than 2. All the other trails are road biking much of it on busy Route 100. Fly fishing which they rave about in their brochure is a joke. We asked in the recreation office where the best place to fish on the Black River was and she said she was not sure where the river was. We had to tell her it was 25 feet behind her. All that being said the staff are friendly and the pools, archery and tennis are very good. This is a great place for families with young kids or couples who want to relax in a pretty setting but not for anyone looking for serious outdoor adventure.

“The Ledges at Hawk Resort are awesome to rent.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

The staff at Hawk Inn and Mountain Resort are terrific. They are very accomadating and very kind. My family and extended family rented 3 Ledges condos and were very pleased. Anything we needed they were glad to get for us. The week we stayed was warm and humid, but we did have fans in each room. Upon departure, the staff informed us that they were working on getting ac for each unit. Lots of fun activities for kids and adults of all ages.
