“Bromley Sun Lodge is inviting with a perfect amount of Vermont charm”

I never review anything BUT felt the need to after reading the last post. I stayed at Bromley Sun Lodge this past week and plan on returning next weekend. This hotel/lodge has the greatest location to Bromley mountain (-2 minute walk to lift ticket counter), Manchester outlets and the Vermont Store. The place has a family atmosphere with a great big lobby with fire place, huge TV area and board game area. It is warm, charming and inviting. They have a bar with a pool table and a restaurant which offers breakfast (included), lunch and dinner (food was awesome, specials every night). The pool was a bit cool but definitely heated and clean. The kids (13 and 8) loved it along with the arcade room where they met friends. I checked out the fitness room (not there to work out but the equipment was fine and I did 20 minutes one day). They even have a place to store your ski equipment. The rooms were comfortable (2 full size beds) and clean. We had a coffeemaker, cable TV, Free Wi-Fi and heat which we were able to control. The bathroom had the normal amenities. Each room has a balcony with great views on either side. We did not have a refrigerator in our room but it was cold enough outside that we put our juice boxes and water bottles on the balcony (they do offer rooms with small frigs). The rooms were cleaned daily as any hotel. They also offer (which I didn't use) daycare, laundry, room service, wake-up calls and a banquet hall. All the people working there are very nice and extremely accommodating. It is family owned and operated and the owners couldn't be more helpful and knowledgable of the area which felt comforting for me, and the kids loved it so much we are going back next weekend. I cannot believe any of the negative reviews I see especially the last one. It is a great place for families who like to ski and have children learning to ski. The prices are comparable for the area and the location. I hear that in the summer they have the "Trill Zone" there and I am planning a trip in June with family. Bromley Sun Lodge is not Equinox, a chain hotel or Fifth Avenue "Snooty" nor do they advertise as being that. Over all I would say that it is folksy with a perfect amount of Vermont charm and an awesome place to get-a-way from the city hustle and bustle with or without kids. Nothing beats the location if you plan to ski. Next weekend I am going to take pictures to post and show how warm and comforting it really is.

This Hotel has the greatest location to Bromley Ski Area, but is the most outdated, malodorous, unattractive, overpriced dump I have ever stayed in. In fairness, the people working there were very nice, but I wouldn't set foot in there ever again. I cannot believe any of the positive reviews I see. If you go to Bromley, just walk in and look at the lobby and restaurant. You will run out of there faster than normal people took off from the Adams Family house.

“The perfect rustic getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

My daughter and friends of ours stayed 3 nights and it was great. Convenient to ski, shop, snowmobile, and eat! Dinner at Bromley Sun Lodge was just delish! The chef was great and would have prepared anything we wanted. We plan to go back every year.

“Improving all the Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2011

For new owners that have only owned this hotel since 2005, they are making good improvements. It takes time folks when a place has been LET GO.
*I recently spent 5 night s @ Bromley Sun Lodge. The staff could not have been nicer& so helpful. The accomodations are comfortable, with a huge, cozy lobby w. fireplace, flat screen TV & game section. There is also a tavern for supper & a large diningroom for a continental breakfast. There is a basement for ski storage & ski in & out to a " 4 pack" chair. There is also an exercise room & indoor pool. On a recent extremely cold day ( - 5 degrees), when we stayed in, the " all around handyman", Rodney, took the time to show us some tricks on the checker board. The last day, he helped us with our luggage ( not his job). Also, the food in the tavern was tasty & well prepared.

“Great atmosphere,staff,food and views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

This is New England at its best. It is a ski in ski out winter wonderland. Once we parked our car we said goodbye to it because this place was a completely self contained good time. When not skiing in and out of our room we were either in the pool or playing pool before enjoying a wonderfull dining experience ,then having a drink infront of a well stoked fire. Each room has a porch with a view of the mountain on one side or a thirty mile view on the other,Either way its great to step outside in the morning to judge the days conditions without leaving your own room.
