I never review anything BUT felt the need to after reading the last post. I stayed at Bromley Sun Lodge this past week and plan on returning next weekend. This hotel/lodge has the greatest location to Bromley mountain (-2 minute walk to lift ticket counter), Manchester outlets and the Vermont Store. The place has a family atmosphere with a great big lobby with fire place, huge TV area and board game area. It is warm, charming and inviting. They have a bar with a pool table and a restaurant which offers breakfast (included), lunch and dinner (food was awesome, specials every night). The pool was a bit cool but definitely heated and clean. The kids (13 and 8) loved it along with the arcade room where they met friends. I checked out the fitness room (not there to work out but the equipment was fine and I did 20 minutes one day). They even have a place to store your ski equipment. The rooms were comfortable (2 full size beds) and clean. We had a coffeemaker, cable TV, Free Wi-Fi and heat which we were able to control. The bathroom had the normal amenities. Each room has a balcony with great views on either side. We did not have a refrigerator in our room but it was cold enough outside that we put our juice boxes and water bottles on the balcony (they do offer rooms with small frigs). The rooms were cleaned daily as any hotel. They also offer (which I didn't use) daycare, laundry, room service, wake-up calls and a banquet hall. All the people working there are very nice and extremely accommodating. It is family owned and operated and the owners couldn't be more helpful and knowledgable of the area which felt comforting for me, and the kids loved it so much we are going back next weekend. I cannot believe any of the negative reviews I see especially the last one. It is a great place for families who like to ski and have children learning to ski. The prices are comparable for the area and the location. I hear that in the summer they have the "Trill Zone" there and I am planning a trip in June with family. Bromley Sun Lodge is not Equinox, a chain hotel or Fifth Avenue "Snooty" nor do they advertise as being that. Over all I would say that it is folksy with a perfect amount of Vermont charm and an awesome place to get-a-way from the city hustle and bustle with or without kids. Nothing beats the location if you plan to ski. Next weekend I am going to take pictures to post and show how warm and comforting it really is.
