Clean. Stay here for work and pleasure while in the Northeast Kingdom. Hotel staff is accommodating, room big and comfortable.

Nice, very clean hotel in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Our family has stayed there twice, once in the summer, and then again this past weekend. Hotel staff is accommodating, giving us helpful guidance to restaurants and stores in the area. Beds are not the most comfortable, but fine for a short stay. Both rooms we have had have been very clean and well maintained. Free continental breakfast, although not fancy, is adequate to get travelers started on their day. All in all, a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

I reserved four rooms in advance of a conference, and canceled one the day prior without problem. On arrival, service was prompt, and the AAA/AARP discount was offered even though the rooms were at a discount rate. Because there were not enough single bed rooms available, the receptionist offered to charge the lower rate. The rooms were small but clean, and the showers were hot and strong: I've never had decent pressure in a hotel shower.

In my opinion this is a small town motel that charges big town prices...and gets away with it. We were placed in the newer addition on the second floor. Very noisy. The bathrooms are located at the hallway walls and you could actually hear people there. Breakfast was coffee, juice, cereal in a small room difficult to move in. Staff were friendly and that is the only plus I can give this place.
