My husband is attending the Language school at Middlebury so we went up a little early and stayed in the area for one night at Roland's and it was our first time at a bed and breakfast and so we weren't sure what it would be like at all. I've stayed at many commercial hotels up till now and this was definitely a nice change of pace. We stayed in the Green room and it was one of the most romantic stays we've had at a hotel. Besides being tastefully decorated, the room also had a very nice jacuzzy (so bring the bubble bath if you book this room). The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. We felt as though we had been transformed back to an elegant time in France because the decor was so elegant and beautifully put together.
A full breakfast was served in the morning with a cheese omelet, bacon, potatoes, and bread as well as coffee, OJ, and water. And we had a delightful time with our fellow guests. So we definitely recommend the bed and breakfast experience in general and heartily recommond Roland's place. It's romantic, chic and has wonderful service. I can't comment on the restaurant because it wasn't open on the night we stayed there but I imagine that it's just as wonderful as the bed and breakfast. The pictures on the website are very accurate so I would go there for a visual of the rooms.
