We spent four days at the Sampler House B&B when we were in Milton to attend our son's wedding. What a fantastic experience. The room was very comfortable and despite the age of the building, the bath and shower facilities are very modern. Our hosts could not have been more hospitable. Plus, Debra is a magician in the kitchen. The breakfasts were exceptional and tailored to each guest's request. Given the modest price of each room , why would anyone stay anywhere else if they are visiting the Burlington/ Milton area?

Stayed for 1 night on the way to Montreal, location chose as didn't want to stray very far off the I 89. In our party 1 couple had the Iris suite which a separate apartment with 1 bedroom upstairs and a kitchen and sitting area downstairs, and we had the waterlily room which is located on the 1st (ground) floor at the front of the house. Both decorated nicely with interesting antique furniture. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfasts very tasty with fresh farm eggs. Deborah is a perfect B&B host, friendly and welcoming. Fast free WI-FI. The only negatives are that there was a lot of heavy truck noise starting early morning from the waterlily room, and passing through the living room and dining room to get the the bedroom is something not everyone may feel comfortable with, but I guess that may be part of the B&B experience.
We did enjoy a very good pizza from NY Pizza Oven which is within walking distance.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the bed was great, the room was excellent. The owner has an extensive knowledge of the area and was very helpful to help us plan our days. The breakfast every morning was unique and very good. Great place to stay when we head back to Burlington we're going to stay at the sampler house again!!

Generosity, comfort, and friendliness await you as soon as you step into the Sampler House B&B in the town of Milton, VT. Tucked away on a quiet street in Milton,this is THE place to stay if you are going to be doing any traveling in Northern Vermont. Although there is nothing to do in this town itself, you are just a short car ride away from Burlington, Stowe, Ben and Jerry's, Lake Champlain, and many other attractions. The rooms are spacious, clean, private and comfortable. Your mouth will start watering from the smells of a delicious breakfast that Deborah and Peter fix up at a reasonable enough hour. The value is excellent, the only regret I have is that I didn't stay longer.
