“Not worth the money!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2007

OK. lets start out with the good stuff first. The room was relatively clean. The beds were comfortable. However, the room was terribly underlit. There were three lights, which couldn't have had any more than 40 watt bulbs. Don't plan on reading! The air conditioner was missing its knob and thus couldn't be adjusted. It was incredibly loud. The toilet seat was broken. Water pressure in the shower was a dribble at best. The carpet was showing its age. The continental breakfast was minimal at best. Check out time is 10:00; earlier than most motels I stay out. We paid 90.00 gov't rate. Certainly not worth the price. The next night we paid the same amount for a remarkable Comfort Inn Suite in Burlington. If possible, look elsewhere.

“Clean, nice staff, but expensive”

It was getting late after hiking around in the great nature of Vermont when we arrived at Greystone. We already had gone by some other motels which were dirty or expensive.
This one had a nice staff and large, clean and well equipped rooms. The lady did call to find out if there was some place open where we could eat something late at night, which was nice of her. But all of this comes at a price ($90 and she even gave us a discount she said). We thought this wasn't that bad since a breakfast was included. We were told told this was served between 730-1030. We wanted to get some at 945 but found old juice, one bagel and half a cup of coffee left although there were only two rooms occupied....
(We got some at Rosie's accross the street, which was great)

Well, a nice motel, friendly staff, but the breakfast was the worst, and the price way too high. For about $55-$60 I would recommend this place though.

“Cheap but clean hotel in Middlebury”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2005

I stayed at the Greystone Motel in Middlebury - it was a peak season so other hotels were very expensive. We happened upon the Greystone at 11pm - they got us a room for $60 (it would have been cheaper if I had my AAA card). The rooms were super clean with nice sheets and towels, cable TV and free toothbruch and toothpaste. Overall a nice choice for those on a budget. In the morning they have coffee and cereal. (---)
