My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in Middlebury at the Inn on the Green. The Inn was located right in the center of the town, easy to walk to restaurants, the college, and entertainment. The Inn was very clean, the decor was extremely pleasant and interesting, and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast, which is brought up to the room at a time that the guest indicates, was wonderful, with fresh baked goods, yogurt, hot beverages, and fruit.

The very knowledgeable and engaging Innkeepers went beyond the call of duty answering questions as we exploring the town as a potential place to live. They helped us with tickets to a concert, and had many recommendations that were extremely helpful in our exploration.

In short, this was one of the most satisfying inn/bed and breakfast that we have stayed at and would highly recommend it.

Given the other positive reviews on the Inn we were expeting great things. The location is fantastic and the added extras like cookies and tea were well received. However, the sleep qulaity was dreadful and every time one of us moved in bed the whole matress creaked too so we had no sleep for two nights. Frankly, the breakfast was terrible, on both occassions wha we ordered did not come all together and we had to ask for it to be supplied. In fact we were so dissapointed with the breakfast thet we actually went to the bakery which supplied the Inn to check it out. The bakery was fine but I just wonder if the owners of the Inn actually check out what is being supplied to their customers.
We loved Middlebury, had a good walk round the college and had a brewery tour, sadly the Inn did not impress us.

kind staff, comfortable and cozy room. the quaint accommodations and homey vibe made me never want to check into a hotel again! we came in from the cold and fresh cookies had just come out of the oven. tea was delivered to our room in ceramic mugs. breakfast in bed was the perfect touch to top off a phenomenal stay. would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

As a guest lecturer at Middlebury College in late October, I was lodged at this dreamily perfect place in this perfect little town. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring. The complementary breakfast (who can beat hot oatmeal, fresh bread from the local bakery, plus a pot of coffee and fixings) is delivered on demand in a room that makes a guest feel as though she's staying at a friend's home. Accommodations and decor are appropriately vintage New England, yet up-to-the-minute comfy and convenient.
I was thrilled.
