“Great service, authentic atmosphere, GREAT breakfast”

Ok - let me start with the breakfast. It's included in your hotel stay and it's awesome. I'd like to think of myself as a connoisseur of breakfasts and this is one of the best. It's not served in any fancy way and is in fact a buffet, but the eggs must be organic or local because they are very good. The sausages? Well the sausages were killer - I ate 6 or 7 each time I got breakfast. The pancakes were great and of course the syrup was awesome. Next the service. There was someone at the front desk each afternoon that was very friendly and helpful. He always tried his best to give us the information we needed. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. Finally, the atmosphere is very ski-lodgy. The rooms weren't the greatest and I don't think they vacuumed before we got there (or while we were there), but other than that, we were very happy with our stay.

“Disappointing”

Just returned from a weekend at the Inn. The place looked run down. Walls are thin and could hear everything going on in the rooms on either side. Very friendly people though.

The beds are aweful. The hallways are loud. Its close to the mountain. Its clean. Breakfast is pretty nasty. Will try another place on the next visit.

“Okay, but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

Most of the other reviewers have it about right with this place: it is a little bedraggled and in need of a renovation, and the housekeeping was (ahem) lackadaisical (someone else's hair had not been cleaned out of my tub). But, the location is good, as is the price, and there are decent amenities. They have quite a selection of movies that guests can check out from the front desk, and although I didn't use them, the pool, hot tub and fitness area were nice to have there. There was one bar open, and it looks like there are one or two others that may be open in high season. Actually, I imagine the Inn is quite a hopping spot during high season, when the common areas with fireplaces, and bars, and gathering rooms are busy and inviting, but it was still pretty quiet in early October when I was there. I think this place would probably be best for younger skiers, who aren't too particular about their surroundings when they collapse into bed after a long day on the mountain followed by a stint in the bar. However, if you are want a more upscale or refined lodge, look elsewhere, because I think you'll be disappointed here.

“Not bad...will be returning.”

My husband and I stayed here Thanksgiving 2011 and went snowboarding at Killington Ski Resort. The staff was nice, no problems there. They have a DVD player in the room and free movie rentals at the front desk which we took advantage of. They have a fridge in the room, but no microwave. You have to ask the front desk to microwave. The TV is also box style, not a flatscreen. The complimentary buffet breakfast could definitely stand improvement but it's better than nothing.

We really had a good time, and the hotel has a good view of the mountains. They have a restaurant, quaint bar with free popcorn, movie room, small game room and two fireplaces. It also looks like one of the nicer hotels in the immediate area. We already made reservations to return to this hotel in December because we had so much fun snowboarding and this hotel is only 1 mile from the Killington Ski Resort.
