Our unit was large with an open floor plan and wonderful windows. We really liked the living room seating area ‘wrap’ couch and two swivel upholstered chairs were clean and comfortable and circling a large coffee table. We had a lovely unobstructed view of the mountains (not Mt. Mansfield) and the valley.
The dining room area was between the living room and kitchen, no windows, really a walk through, but fine, a large oak table able to seat at least 6.
The kitchen was well appointed, but needed redesigning, only one drawer in the kitchen. Therefore, they added additional cabinets, drawers and a counter in the dining area, which meant much walking back and forth. Not much counter space in the kitchen. All appliances were fine, dishes and glasses for 8. Formica counters, electric stove, gourmet toaster oven, lots of pots and pans and utensils and a power saver dishwasher. We brought our own knife sharpener.
A nice gas fireplace in the living room turned on with a switch. The TV was quite small 27” at most. A very nice covered porch has room for 4+. Since the weather was abnormally warm we spent lots of time out there. Although, when I asked to have furniture brought up they refused saying there were going to have to power wash the porches and didn’t want to move the furniture. We ‘borrowed’ some chairs and brought others from the dining area inside.
Bedrooms (2) were large and with multiple windows. The Master had a king size bed, a small TV, a desk and chair and a small bureau. The blanket was Velux.
The master bathroom was large with a soaking tub with jets and TV above on the opposite wall. Next to the tub there was a small stall shower with one of those awful water-saver showerheads (the resort is VERY Green). There is a single sink in the master bath. The only amenities were bars of soap, no shampoo, conditioner, body wash or body lotion. Remember to bring your own. There is a hairdryer.
The second bedroom had a double bed with 2 singles on the outside walls (which we didn’t need). The bathroom for that bedroom was just outside the bedroom door. A stacked clothes washer/dryer is located in this bathroom. There is a single sink in the second bath with a regular bathtub.
Outside the condo, the hallways are fully carpeted and beautifully wallpapered and clean. At the local community/exercise center you have to bring your own towels to the pool or gym. The game room upstairs lacked balls at the pool table. The ping pong table had balls and paddles. The pool area, gym and game room was shared by about 3 ‘communities’. The pool is heated and outside. The neighbor’s kids loved it in warm or cold weather! In spring the community center is open from 12-8pm.
Overall the unit was VERY nice, especially for a ski area (of course I haven’t been to Vail or Aspen in 100 years!). It was around 1,200 square feet with a porch.
I hiked daily on the Nordic ski trails, which were wonderful for hiking! One will see everything from beaver lodges to waterfalls. The others in our group used the smallish gym (2 treadmills, 1 stationary bike, weights) or went cycling locally.
