We booked the Pond House for 3 night for 5 people. On the hotel website it looked charming and quaint. The real thing is nothing like the website.

The inside decoration are old, mouldy and badly needs updating. The house creeks and is very noisy. The fittings in the downstairs bathroom were bad, so the toilet shaked when used. The sink was cracked, there were dead flies on the wall (must have been there since fall) and the pictures show how nasty it is.

Carpets were not laid on the floor, but big pieces of carpet material used instead, so see pictures of how it looked. CHEAP!

Downstairs had a fire place which was on a raised surface, so was quite dangerous for kids and seniors.

Upstairs bathroom was dark and creepy, as bath looked like it was carved in an area of the wall.

Front door wouldnt work when we were there, so owner had to break glass to get access and didnt clean glass up either.

All this for a expensive price of $450 per night plus tax. If you need a place to stay and this is your only option, sleep in your car!

We were there in December when snow was on the ground and the only positive thing is the scenery is beautiful in the area but there is a massive power station at the bottom of the drive leading upto the pond house.

We LOVED Sterling Ridge Resort. We had a deluxe 1 Bedroom with King sized bed and woodstove, and hot tub. The resort itself was GORGEOUS!! Very private. The cabins were cute and cozy and SO CLEAN. They were pet friendly and the staff was great. I just cannot brag enough. I just couldnt wait to leave a review for them. We will definitely be going back.

We stayed at one of the 3 bedroom cabins for the week after Christmas. The cabin was brand new and the facilities were excellent. We all love how big and spacious the cabins were. We went skiing at Smuggler's Notch which is only a couple of miles away so the location was very convinient. We also loved the fact that you can borrow DVDs to watch in your cabin for free. I would love to go back!!!!

We spent our first Christmas away from home this year at the Sterling Ridge Resort and enjoyed...sledding, warm fires....even a outside hot tub on a cold Christmas Eve! Highly recommended....enjoy!
