“We knew we were having fun but didn't realize how much until we got home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Ditto: Believe the reviews!!! We are a family of four including a 3 year old and 15 month old at the time of our vacation. The staff taking CARE of our children made this vacation so enjoyable. My husband and I wanted to bring our children on vacation but we were also hoping to spend some quality time together. After spending the Labor Day week at Tyler Place we know we made the BEST choice. Our cottage (Park) was located near the Inn and for our first visit I thought it was the best! After the 3rd day you're really in the groove of how everything works. The evening babysitter (Yo Sabra) was great. We hope to one day return to this wonderful resort. We didn't want to leave!

Room Tip: View the map on the tyler place web site and call if you have questions! Cottages book quickly so t...

“Excellent Vacation; Wish Could Afford it Every Year!”

Tyler Place is an exceptional place to vacation! We loved our accomodation for us and our 1 child (big enough for mroe) in the lodge. While we had a little rain on our week there, there were still things to do. Our son loved his gorup activities, and we loved having dinner by ourselves to talk. The couselors were very good with the kdis, and our son wanted to go back to his kids play group everyday, even though he's a little shy. We are introverts, by nature, so it was a little hard to put ourselves out there and meet people who'd been coming back year after year. It's a little pricey, especially since we have to fly & rent a car plus attend the week, but the food was excellent and the service and programs were top notch. A great mixture of quiet family time and activites. We wish we could afford Tyler Place every year!!

Room Tip: Lodge with porch was great when we had a little rain, because we could relax and read while our son...

“Sixth year in a row for all the right reasons”

Believe the reviews...that is the best advise I can give any reader on this site. The activities, staff and food keep us returning year after year for a heavenly week of family fun. Along the way, we have been happy to meet many guests who are now great family friends. Our kids are 11, 10, and 7. Each year has held a new milestone in their development and I am so happy they will have lifelong memories of fun summers at "Family Camp".
As previously mentioned, the accommodations are not ritzy at all- but we have enjoyed 4 different cottages over the years. Any problem large or small was managed quickly by the wonderful staff.
Give it a try! I can almost guarantee you will be hooked as well!!!

“We really likes this place!”

We just got back from the Tyler Place.
To be honest we didn't know what to expect when we booked it, but thought we would give it a try. The place is clean but not fancy. It has a rustic charm. We stayed in a three bedroom cottage. The kids had a wonderful time, and my husband and I really liked eating all three meals without kids. We did lots of activities and really reconnected. Do not go to this place unless you are a social person. You meet and interact with people all day long. It is very expensive, but the price includes all activities, accomodations and food. You do have to pay for alcohol. The food was really good. I am not a buffet person but was surprised at how fresh and delicious every meal was. All and all it was a different experience for us, but a very good one. Met so many really nice, fun people. The kids are begging to go back.

“Family Camp The Way It's Supposed To Be - Great For Young Families”

This was also our third year in a row and we're booking our fourth! We have 3 kids 8, 5 and 8 months. And all three kids, including the baby, had an amazing time. The staff really gets to know the kids - their end of week camp awards say it all "Playhouse Flirt" (baby), Pool Shark (8 year old etc). The rooms were very clean and spacious with new linens, curtains and furniture. The baby slept amazingly well (must have been the fresh Vermont air) too. The staff does an amazing job with customer service and the camp programming is first rate. I was impressed with all of the new visible touches this year - new arts and crafts projects, marionette show and of course, the pirate treasure hunt on the "Tyler Island" is the highlight for our guys. We have made the most amazing friends here and I would highly recommend Tyler Place to any family! Worth every single penny.
