Beautiful, warm, and serene are the three adjectives that best describe the Squire House. From the moment we drove up the long driveway, we knew we were in for a very special stay. The innkeepers, Gay and Roger, greeted us at the door, helped us with our luggage, and gave us a tour of the house. And what a house it is, from comfortable sitting areas to beautiful patio areas. We had chosen to stay in the Alice Wolcott Room, with its wood burning fireplace, numerous windows, and very clean bathroom. The furnishings are both exquisite, while being very functional at the same time.
The breakfast each morning was outstanding, Gay can open a Michelin star restaurant any time. Both Gay and Roger were very helpful in giving us local information regarding restaurants and driving direction to the Shelburne Museum. We just made a new reservation for an October visit, and cannot wait to return. Thank you, Gay and Roger.
Best Regards,
Margaret & Jay
