The Four Seasons Motel in Derby is just across from the Cdn Border in Quebec and VT. its handyt othe interstate, and is actually a great litle spot, the staff is great, the rooms clean, they have everything you need for a stopover, restaurants and services near by,, Macdonalds 2 doors down.
its not the 4 seasons, but its a nice clean place.

The room was fine, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Towels weren't great, but not bad either. For a low priced motel it was fine.

We saw two other motels in Derby, and judging from the outside, I would not want to go in. We went there because we we heading to Canada on I91 and Derby is about 5 minutes from the border. There we also nice places to eat near by. We had dined at the Cow Palace. It was decorated with a lot of stuffed game, and there was an Elk farm abutting the parking lot. You can try Elk steaks inside, if you are adventurous. (It was interesting.)

We stayed two nights out of conveniece only. $95 per night is way out of line for this no frills old run down motel. Internet did not work. Staff said. "too many people are on " and would tell manager. Nothing was done to actually solve the problem. This place would go for $39 in any other part of the country but when you have limited competition the attitude here seems to gouge the tourists.

I came up here with friends for a softball tournament. Although the place was completely packed, the staff was so friendly. One of my friends got locked out of her room at 10:00pm and the Assistant Manager came in from home just to help! Thank you Samantha, you are a gem! Talk about customer service!! The motel was extremely clean, continental breakfast was very nice, and the entire staff was just amazing. Cant wait to come back next year!!!
