I was automatically attracted to the Williams River House when I saw the pictures on the web, but nothing compared to the actual B&B. It is so well kept, the views, the well-manicured grounds, the back porch, I was treated like a special guest invited to their home. There is a huge fireplace in the living room, it was cozy and warm sitting there at night after a long excursion day reading or just relaxing.
I was in the East India suite, very spacious and clean, love the antique furniture and the reading nook. The service and attention I received on my 3-day stay there was just impeccable. The hosts, Mark and Geoff were always genuinely interested in making me comfortable. Breakfast was the best thing ever, Mark knows how to make a mean french toast, that was so delicious!
Collette, the house manager also helped me with some great sightseeing ideas: I loved the location, the Country Vermont Store is only a few miles away as well as downtown Chester, not too far from Grafton, another little quaint town.
I had such an amazing time in VT, and staying at the Wiliams River House made it so fantastic and will definitely go back there. I strongly recommend this B&B if you want an unique experience that large hotels cannot give you.
