“Best Hotel in Burlington”

My wife and I stayed here on Columbus Day Weekend . The staff was the best, the room was great, loved the kitchen. I don't always like sitting in a restaurant, was nice to cook a meal get into my PJs and enjoy the night.

We will certainly be back again.

Price is great, the employees are the best and the locaton is wonderful. This is the best for your dollar.

The gentleman at the front desk was exactly that a "Gentleman" a true Vermonter.................We will be back.

Thanks Mr. & Mrs Jeffrey K. Crowley, Enfield, CT

“Vintage shows wear but price doesn't scare”

1964 comes alive here and hasn't moved on since. At this price point there's not a lot to complain about except that some new lounge chairs, sheets & towels in rooms would help a lot - I can live with old tv's as long as they work and they have good cable selections. There's a clean old pool to use seasonly and a Ground Round restaurant across the property. It's 1/2 mile to airport, market and a few miles from downtown Burlington/UVM. That's it for amenities - you come here simply for the low cost and aren't frightened by very, very vintage.

“I like places like this”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

Some people like fancy hotels with all the amenities. Others like simple places that are clean and don't cost a lot. If you are the 2nd kind of person, then you'll probably like the Ethan Allen. It's clean, conveniently located, and the price is good. If that's good enough for you, then you'll like this place.

“Not for everyone, but fine for me.”

Convenient location, reasonable price, and cleanliness are what I look for, and the Ethan Allen provided it. The building and decor remind me of a nostalgic visit to 50 years ago, but everything was clean, everything worked, and a good night's sleep was the result. Not for those who worry about stained and worn carpeting, ancient TV sets, and basic door locks. But if a screen door and a bathroom window are your idea of home, give this place a try.
