“Great room for a relaxing weekend away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I stayed here while attending a friend's wedding in town, Unfortunately, my wife couldn't join me because of a travel delay, but I enjoyed the room and the town enough that I'm determined to take her back there sometime soon. The room was really open and comfortable, complete with a mini kitchen and fresh coffee. It was also just a short drive from downtown. I highly recommend it!

“Fabulous open concept apartment”

What an incredible surprise when we opened up the door to this converted garage! The great room included a fully equipped kitchenette, comfortable living room with television and beautiful bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and included a shower. Andrea, the delightful hostess, was there to greet us and explained the features of the room. She was helpful with suggestions for our trip and directions to the various sites. The guest house is walking distance to downtown and convenient to many other attractions. We stayed on the bottom floor and there is an additional apartment to rent on the second floor (which according to our neighbours was just as impressive). This was a terrific place to stay - spacious, comfortable and convenient with its much used kitchenette. A family could use the couch and a sofa-bed to easily sleep 5 people in total. I highly recommend this guest house!

“my ideal place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

This is one of my favorite places *ever* to stay. Spacious, comfortable, cheerful, attractive, good location. Loved having the kitchenette, which was stocked with cereal, milk and juice. It was nice to be in a residential neighborhood, yet a short walk to the lake. We enjoyed talking to the Andrea, our host, a lot (and we are not normally very chatty). We got in on short notice, too, so don't hesitate to try even though there are only two units. We were in the lower unit but I'm sure the upper unit is great too. Wifi worked perfectly.

“What a great find at the last minute”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

We stayed in the downstairs room of the Howard St Guesthouse the last weekend of July 2011. The colors in the room, described by the owner as funky, were just beautiful! From the painted birds on top of the closet to all the bright colors, it was welcoming and warm. Also, this studio is spotlessly clean. The shower has plenty of hot water and water pressure. This plus a comfortable bed and kitchenette rounds out such a better experience than an impersonal hotel room with a bed and a bathroom...Close to downtown, either a quick 10 min walk or 3 minute drive - you're that close to the waterfront and downtown. Don't forget to bring your bicycle (like I did) as Burlington is a very bike friendly town...The next time we're in the area, we plan on staying at the Howard Street Guesthouse.

The Howard street guest house is a great place to stay in Burlington. It is in a quiet residential area, but within easy walking distance of the centre. The room is beautifully decorated. Highly recommended
