“Beutiful - Quiet - A+ Service & Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

My husband and I come to Burlington VT once a year. We have finally found our Spot! We've stayed at many B&B's in the area, and this is by far the absolute best! The front desk attendants are extremely accommodating. The breakfast is superb. The cleanliness of the inn is impeccable and the service is just amazing. They helped us plan great places to visit, and dine. We couldn't have been more pleased. We will be back next year!

Room Tip: Nantucket Rook - HUGE with great gas Fire Place

“Our 2nd Trip-Just as Good as Our 1st!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This was our 2nd visit to the Willard Street Inn and it was as good as we had remembered it. It is a great place to go for some peace and quiet and as a base for exploring Burlington and Western Vermont.
One of our favorite parts of our stay is the breakfast served each morning. You get your choice of 3 (one is a yogurt/granola-type option, one is an egg dish, and one is a sweet dish such as French toast). You dine in their beautiful solarium which is warm and inviting on a cold day. They play classical music, serve hot coffee and tea, and have the gas stove fired up. The food is exceptional-from the pastries brought out with your coffee to the fresh fruit served w/ breakfast, to the main entree. They take good care of you!
Both times we have found the inn very clean and quiet. The staff in attentive and helpful.
For our first visit, we stayed in the Champlain Lookout room. It is roomy, comfortable, well-decorated, and quiet. Along with a beautiful canopied queen bed, it has a sitting area with two chairs and a table. For our second visit, we stayed on the third floor in the warm and cozy Rose Garden room. The vaulted ceiling and good decorating makes it a special room.
A short walk from the Inn takes you to downtown Burlington where the main street is open to pedestrian traffic only. There is good shopping, an independent book store, and many wonderful restaurants.
During our visits, we have made day trips to Stowe, Shelburne Farms, and Ben and Jerry's. We also enjoy taking drives through the Vermont countryside with its beautiful scenery. Attached are pictures from the 1st visit.

Room Tip: Their descriptions on their website seem pretty accurate.

“Beautiful, historic bed and breakfast, attention to detail and great service in Burlington, Vermont”

The Willard Street Inn in Burlington, Vt. is the perfect bed and breakfast for those special moments in your life. It is a favorite accomodation for my husband and I during the city's First Night celebration for New Year's Eve. However, you could be comfortable there any time of year. The Inn is located on a quiet street a short walk or drive between 2 colleges and downtown Burlington with many restaurants and points of interest nearby. Check out the Inn's website for a glimpse of it's beautiful wood interior. Read their description of the marble floor in the atrium where a full breakfast is served. Fresh baked cookies and an assortment of tea, coffee, hot cocoa or cider is always available. A guest refrigerator is also available in the kitchen. There are a wealth of interesting books and 2 comfortable sitting areas in front of gas fireplaces for reading or conversation. The hosts are very accomodating for any need or request you might have.

Room Tip: There are good descriptions and pictures of each room on the Inn's website. They are priced acco...

“Lovely place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

We stayed at the Willard Street Inn during a relatively slow time, Dec 9-11, for our 10th anniversary and we were not disappointed. The whole place was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely lovely.
We spent both nights in the Woodhouse Suite and enjoyed it very much. It's a large room (originally two rooms, we found out) at the end of the hallway on the second floor, which meant that we were not disturbed by other guests walking past our room. It featured a gas fireplace (looks like an old wood-burning stove) that added a lot of atmosphere (and heat!), though there were issues with the pilot light going out. The bathroom has a large, two-person shower (with two separate showerheads for each person, so four altogether). The bed was very comfortable though quite high, but a step stool was next to it which I used.
The breakfasts were amazing! Served in the gorgeous solarium, both mornings offered tempting options. One morning my husband and I each had the gingerbread pancakes (so good!) and the second morning he had eggs benedict and I chose the blueberry pancakes. The juice, coffee, and tea are unlimited and there's always the 24-hour coffee/tea/cookie station in the room next to the kitchen. The inn was not full while we were there so we never had a problem getting the breakfast seating time we wanted.
All of the people working there are very friendly and nice, though I'm afraid I only remember Barbie's and Larry's (one of the owners) names.
The inn is a good 15-minute walk to the Church Street/downtown area, so not far at all but it was rather chilly at night so we only did the walk once. Parking in the downtown core was an issue on Saturday night and we ended up in a parking garage but during less cold months or if we'd been better dressed for it, the walk would be nothing at all.
In short, I highly recommend this inn for a stay in Burlington, especially if you are looking for a romantic spot. We very much enjoyed celebrating our 10th anniversary there.

“An Amazing B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

This beautiful 14-room B&B is a stunning mansion that will make any stay a real treat. We had the suite on the 3rd floor with three rooms, spectacular views from the skylight windows, two fireplaces, and a spacious bathroom. Just a few blocks away are many shops and restaurants, and you can drive to Lake Champlain in just minutes. Breakfast in the solarium is something you will remember for a long time. Lots to do, lots to see, and staying at The Willard Street Inn is a treat all it's own. This is THE place to stay in Burlington, VT.

Room Tip: Get a suite on the top floor - you will love the views!
