My family and I visited this place in February 2011 and we loved it although the mountain was closed we were extremely happy. This was our first trip to Vermont. They had snow at the time and had a place for tubing they had made which my daughter who was 3 at the time really enjoyed. The people were friendly and the place was immaculate. We had a very updated well decorated room. As a timeshare member who exchanged points we were required to pay a $80 cleaning fee which we had no problem paying.
We loved it so much we decided to go back for December 2011 to celebrate the New Year. Upon our arrival there was no snow but it was not a big deal we knew that the mountain was closed and that we would be going to other mountains that made their own snow. As we drove we noticed the little area that had the canoe and tubing rentals was closed. When we arrived (we got there about 2:30) they told us our room was not ready (not a big deal we were early) so we left for a bite to eat. once we got in the room It wasn't the same as it was the first time it wasn't as clean the one bathroom had hair on the floor. The blinds were very dusty the skylight in the upstairs bedroom had a little mold growing, there was a structural crack along the wall and the bedroom door would not close it was cracked along the handle. The heat itself was a lil difficult to regulate but we dressed accordingly. I am not a big complainer about stuff especially if I can clean it or work with it. We had a baby gate so the door wasn't an issue when putting my lil one to bed. I cleaned up the bathroom and kept it moving after all we are on vacation. Well to my surprise I am now being charged for the door. I left a message for the general Manager and have yet to hear from her. The man I spoke was completely rude which of course I reciprocated (who wouldn't when you are being charged $257 for a 6 panel door you can get a home depot for $60) He accused me of kicking the door in (which my foot would have went through) and their being splinters on the floor from us kicking it in. He also said we removed the lock for what I still don't know but we don't make a habit of bringing tools with us on vacation. I am furious and if anyone has the number for an owner i would appreciate it. While on vacation we were on the mountain or out driving to attractions that were not so close. So we were exhausted and would crash soon after getting back. I am disgusted that we would be charged and treated with such disrespect. We have no problem paying for it had we done it but this simply isn't the case.
