We stayed at The Inn at Lovers' Lane for two nights during a friend's wedding. This B&B was lovely. We stayed in the blue room, billed as their coziest, and found it quite comfortable, with plenty of space to stow our bags, hang clothes, and walk around the room. The bathroom is, indeed, tiny, but had everything we needed. The room was very pretty -- not fussy, but very nice details. The bed was very comfortable, there were bathrobes in the armoire, and the towels were of fluffy high quality. No skimping here. The two rooms set aside for common use were also very pretty and comfortable. Having two common rooms allows for more privacy if that's what is wanted, although we thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other couple staying at the inn that weekend. John and Pam, the innkeepers, were also very pleasant and helpful.
Saturday's breakfast was absolutely delicious (and beautifully serve) in the breakfast room, which has a very pleasant view of surrounding farmland and the Adirondack Mountains. After that fabulous meal, we were severely disappointed that we had arranged to leave so early on Sunday morning (5:30 AM) that we would have to miss out on breakfast that day. However, John insisted on setting up the coffeemaker to provide coffee for us at 5:00 AM and left out some very good homemade muffins for us to take on our journey home.
Some B&Bs are more like leftover space in someone's home, and one feels less than welcome. Not so here. The Inn at Lovers' Lane is truly a lovely place to stay, with gracious hosts who go out of their way to accommodate their guests. We recommend it and would return.
