“Clean room, nice view, nothing to write home about”

The lodge reminded me more of a dorm room. Tiny toilet area, linoleum floors, small TV, cramped standup shower, no internet access in the rooms, two-pronged outlets, and the shades don't block out the sunlight!?

That being said, the staff were very welcoming, the room was clean, nothing was broken, and the bed wasn't uncomfortable. A touch expensive ($70/night) for very spartan accommodations.

Room Tip: AAA rate is accepted.

“Very good for the name motor lodge!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Deluxe room was on par with holiday inn's or ramada's or renaissance etc. and maybe more cleaner. Run by very courteous couple. The room was clean, very very very very well maintained. The view outside is refreshing, hills on the back, gravel path in the front, state highway passing by and green mountains beyond. Fall was in the air everywhere. There is a hot tub,a small pool outside, play area in the lawn. Very child friendly as the owner family portrays. The best part is you can take a walk in the grounds ( I did it at 12AM in night after a tiring drive from Mt Washington NH). I loved it. Absolute silence except for occasional cars going by on the highway, other than that there was NO sound except for the sound of your thoughts. Absolute stillness was very refreshing. Getting good restaurants is a tough task as it is a rustic small town without fancy restaurants. Sherri's diner offers good breakfasts though. It should be a good visit in any season. There is no concrete or human ecosystem on any sides. Do not get mislead by the name motor lodge, it is definitely a motor lodge reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes times!!

Room Tip: I presume all are good!! Exactly same as shown in website.

“Very clean, worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

My husband and I came to Brandon,VT for a wedding. Family owned and you could see the pride in Ownership. The hotel room was rather small and so was the bathroom, but the service made up for all the hotel lacked. I was greeted very promptly and efficiently. Was given a map and all the attractions of the area. The homemade muffins and coffee in the morning really topped off the trip well! My experience was hassle- free and I would definitely stay again if in the area.

“Best night's sleep!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

We stayed here last night and had a wonderful night sleep. I was so impressed with the customer service from Aaron when we arrived (his little toddler handed us our room key!). The room was small but clean and pleasant looking. The bed was comfortable. It really had everything we needed. Great coffee in the morning (fair trade coffee). Those little touches mean a lot. Thanks you very much!!!!

“A True Family Operated Motel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

I did not stay at this motel, only because of the pending hurricane Irene. I had a reservation, was going to meet my son from Boston for a wedding, but because of the weather, he decided to stay at home. I called Saturday morning, 4 hours before I was to check in, and ecplained the situation. They were very kind and sensative to the situation, and cancelled my reservation, without charging me for the room. I realize this is a business, but thought they went above and beyond, This is the true meaning of a "Family Operation."
