We stayed this past weekend, November 19, in one of the two upstairs suites (the whole house has only three rooms, so crowds will never be an issue). The Eddington House Inn is 150-plus years old (if I recall correctly) and has a real colonial charm. Our room was comfortable and cozy, the breakfast was decadent stuffed french toast, and crackers and cheese, and other sweets, were available all afternoon. We were able to walk a block for dinner, and the area is beautiful. It was a perfect getaway in a lovely Vermont community--and, as it happens, only a few miles from Robert Frost's gravesite, which is very much worth a visit.

Patti, the innkeeper, is a big reason for the charm of the Eddington House. She is warm and welcoming, generous in her service and availability, yet she is sensitive to privacy and seems determined not to be intrusive. It was great to meet her, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Quaint and genuine Vermont Inn. Walking distance to college and a great little pub. Innkeeper Patti was very helpful with directions and ideas for day trips. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, lots of privacy. Breakfasts were delicious, treats available throughout the day. Highly recommend this Inn.

The Eddington House Inn, and superb innkeeper, Patti, are the absolute definition of a gracious B & B experience! From the greeting to the departing embrace, every single detail was perfect. The inn is immaculate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Truffles await in your suite! Breakfasts are ample, fresh and special. How many innkeepers follow up with thank-you emails containing recipes for the breakfast menus? Bennington has so much history, beauty and culture, and Patti has marvelous suggestions. Treat yourself...

Lovely old Vermont Inn with comfortable rooms. Definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed. The innkeeper, Patti, makes you feel like you're staying with old friends. Really got spoiled with the delicious breakfasts every morning. Patti's always willing to help with directions or to help plan your day. As previously stated by another rating " I can't recommend Eddington House enough"
