“Bed Bugs”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2009

We have stayed at this motel each year for seven years. Never again. Problems during our four day stay-- Dirt, cigarette burns on bedspread and floor, bedbugs! My wife and I sustained multiple bites and killed one to show the manager. We were told we could have another room, but would have to check out, pack up all our belongings and check back in that evening. The receptionist said we could have another room right away. The maid came in, stripped the bed, took a dim flashlight and told us, no, we had to check out by noon. She was surly, as if it were our fault, and said she could see no bugs. The manager finally consented to another room right away, and said she would have the prior room fumigated. We did not see any evidence of that, and the affected room was re-rented that night. The new room had a faulty smoke detector. We left unimpressed and shall never return.

“Safe, clean, cheap, good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2009

Great for spending the night before heading to the airport. Restaurants and Gas are on the other side of highway. Right next to the off/on ramp. Our room was quiet, we stood on second floor. I would not stay on first floors of any motel.

“NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lock your car doors!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2009

we stayed here for 3 days... we had originally booked a week but I just couldnt do it. It was soooo nasty. there were cigarette burns in the blankets, the blankets were also discolored into a yellow color... I dont know what from. In fact it was so bad, I made my husband go BUY blankets to put on them. We asked for no distrubances until after noon each day because we were there so my husband could do some construction work on the refinery there. We had at least 2 knocks each day at 9 am.... not pleasant ones either. There was a pool, but I was afraid to take the kids because of the people hanging out around it (I later found out they practically lived there) our laundry was stolen and my husband wouldnt even allow me to walk to the car by myself. The room was NASTY NASTY NASTY! Probably the nastiest one we have ever stayed in and this is going on year 3 of traveling the US. Dont stay here!!! The best western a couple blocks down is just a tad pricier but definately worth it. If your stayin in woods cross or salt lake city.... DONT STAY MOTEL 6!!!

“Nasty Nasty... unless you are a dust mite!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2009

Motel 6 Woods Cross Utah, I tried to imagined myself as a Dust Mite and this helped ME make it through the night.
The host at check-in was really very friendly, and she offered me a AARP discount, of which I am eligible but always forget to ask. She was so nice and friendly, sweet actually, so much so I was anticipating a very high quality, super nice room… WRONG!
Dust and dirt was everywhere, the luggage rack was filthy, and two back legs of the suitcase floor stand were absolutely white, covered with dust. The TV screen was smudged and the speakers has dust caked in them, at least I think it was dust in the speaker grill.
The carpet was as dirty as I have ever seen, like a dirty old garage floor. I took a washcloth and wiped down the headboard which was a little sticky, and just to see if the carpet was stained or had just had residue I ran the wash cloth over it, and it turned it a light brown and, was as dirty as it was stained.
It was dark when I checked in so I didn’t notice the dirt piles and cigarette butts until in the morning, I counted over 45 in front of my non-smoking room, and another 25 in the grass, I doubt they have ever picked up the area or clean the parking lot or grassy areas in front of the sidewalks.
I open the window and it looked like a soda had been sprayed all over the top half of the window, which was really smudged and needed cleaning.
This was the worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed in, and as I was leaving I watched the maid take the linens from another room and throw then underneath the stair well, (instead of placing them in the cart which was right there?) I walked over and looked at the filthy sidewalk underneath the stair well, it was covered with stains, cigarette butts, sticky spilled sodas, old chewing gum, and who knows what, I went to take a picture but my camera’s memory was full.
I filled out the complaint card, which had been used as a tissue; I handed it to the manager as I checked out (with a old dried booger circled on the card) I told her the condition of the room, she didn’t believe me. She stood there smoking with another woman at the entrance to the front of the office, where an ashtray that was nearly full of half-smoked cigarettes had been placed, (an attractive first impression.) She put out her cigarette as I offer to show her the pictures, and as she looked at them she got this rather exasperated, sinking look on her face.
I only wish I had more memory to take more pictures, but as you can see, I too had already seen enough. A really NASTY motel, perhaps that was why it was only $29, a place every dust mite can afford and still have money left over for that special satisfying cigarette afterwards.

“Avoid staying at this Motel.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2008

I called ahead for a reservation. I reserved 2 rooms. When we got there, I was informed that one of the rooms booked to me had a bad odor so they had to change give me another room. No big deal really. First real problem was the length of time it took just to check in. Longer than I have ever experienced. At least 30 minutes. Got the rooms and one room was OK. Went to the other one and found it to be already occupied. Went back top front desk. Took another 20 minutes to get another room. The clerk stated that this was the 2nd time it had happened that night. Then she actually asked me to go check the room to see if it was empty. What could I do, It was late and I neede to get some sleep. Got the room and found it to be very dirty under the beds. The the phone started ringing at 11:00 pm and rang at least 4 times more during the night, waking me each time. Finally I called at 2:00 in the morning and asked the clerk to put the phone on "do not disturbe". Then the loud noises started in the next room. ALL NIGHT LONG!! Called the front desk and all they said was, "Sorry about that". Needless to say, I will never stay there again. It is not a place to stay with kids. The atmosphere was more like a party motel and there was alot of shady looking people around the area.
