Hotel was very basic. Clean yes, but not the best. Morning Breakfast was a joke- Looks like someone thru it together in 5 minutes or less. Amussed with the idea of the morning syrup bottled used to hold the kitchen door open.

Had a special deal on the room ~$60. So it is a deal.
Some restaurants within walking distance, and free breakfast.
Problem is, it is in the middle of Pawn Shop St. and Rent To Own Lane, not a good area.
Free breakfast is okay. Again a good deal but would rather pay for something better. No gym/pool, and when it is 8 degrees outside, you can't go for a run.
Of you are on a budget, it is good (and you get a good price).

When reservations were made I requested a room for two nights where NO PETS and NO SMOKING is allowed. No problem. I was told that the 2nd floor is reserved for NO PETS and NO SMOKING, and the 1st and 3rd floors are where the PETS and SMOKING are allowed. When we arrived we were booked into Room 220. The hallway and the room smelled terribly unpleasant! The second day when we returned to Country Inn & Suites about 10 p.m., we stopped at the desk to ask how much the soft drinks in the vending machine is, when we saw a woman leave the "dining room" with two dogs on a leash, and head up the stairs. My spouse asked the clerk where she was going with the dogs, and was told that she was staying in a room on the 2nd floor. We told the clerk, who was different than the original clerk and owner, as well as the person who made the reservations, what we were told. This clerk said that the 2nd floor is a PET-FRIENDLY floor, and asked if we would like to move to the 3rd floor. We were LIVID! We weren't spending another night there. We had been lied to by the owner, and that was inexcusable. We checked out immediately.

After having two wonderful experiences in Country Inns in Virginia and Georgia, I had hoped for a similar experience in Utah, but that was not the case. Although the young man who checked us in was friendly enough he guaranteed the other couple we were with that they would get credit for their stay on their membership account - which ended up not being the case. He was a bit cocky. The rooms had a slight odor (perhaps the cleaning materials - it was just strange) and the room was in need of some updating. It appeared to be fairly clean. I was hoping to get a little bit more for what our $100 cost us. For less than that we had suites in Virginia and Savannah, Georgia. Here we just had small hotel rooms. The continental breakfast was average at best. I frankly wouldn't stay here again.
