“OK, but overpriced during holidays”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I stayed here (second time in 3 years) for New Year's Eve because all of the casino hotels were full. I paid $131 for a room with a king bed.
It was clean and quiet, but modestly furnished. The wood furniture was worn and one of the chairs was broken. There was no refrigerator. Check in/check out was smooth and the staff was polite.
I realize hotel room prices are based on demand, but I thought $131 in Wendover was a little steep.

“Theft Problem”

If you stay at this hotel you may as well be begging for your vehicle to be broken into. They have a few outdoor lights in the parking lot, but they turn off sometime after 9pm. So then the parking lot is pitch black during the night. The hotel is on the outside of town and there are some major slums behind the hotel. There is no secure fence between the hotel and this shanty town. The first night we stayed at this hotel someone stripped down our atv for parts. The management at this hotel is terrible and of course they have no outdoor video surveillance. You can't expect that when they are too cheap to keep their lights on in the parking lot overnight.

The hallways of this hotel are the most disgusting thing you've ever seen. They are too cheap to replace their carpets. Rooms smell like cigarette smoke and cat vomit. They keep their hot tub well over the the safe level recommended by Days Inn corporation. It will nearly scold your skin.

This guy have already written 3 complaints about the wendover days inn - yet he keeps on coming here at tripadvisor to write more - feels like this guy is here just to bring the business down - but as like everybody knows this is one of the finest motels in Wendover.

“Taking Good Care”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

I'd left my cell phone in the Days Inn in Bryce Canyon. I called and asked them to send it up to me. They said that the Manager from Days Inn in Wendover was there and he would personally bring it up and give it to me. I was shocked. Great personal service. Loved the waffles for breakfast too.

“Absolutely awful.”

I'm shocked by these good reviews. This hotel SUCKED. Room walls were covered in black filth....they had to move me because the room key in the first room didn't work. The room they put me in next was boiling hot and it was either keep the super loud air conditioner on all night and not sleep or turn it off and boil to death. The hotel was quite overpriced for what it was. They forgot to give me an internet code and the woman at the front desk was totally out to lunch. I will NEVER. EVER. EVER. come back, of course, this is a drive through town in a fly over state so what do you expect, really?

“It Did in a Pinch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

A friend with a smart phone booked a room @ Wendover, UT Days Inn enroute from western NE.

POSITIVES:
They were the only motel contacted willing to supply a rollaway bed. It was in the room when we rolled in around 1:15 a.m. The exterior of the Wendover Days Inn was attractive, but the interior left much to be desired.

NEGATIVES: The hallway carpet on both floors was filthy, much in need of replacement. The complimentary breakfast was but a joke. The counters, tables, and chairs were lousy with crumbs, syrup, styrofoam plates/cups, & plastic silverware. Little food (beyond stale slices of bread) was available by 8:30 a.m. Coffee was available behind a pile of trash left by early bird diners. Trash & cobwebs were discovered under the beds below the headboards. We searched under the mattresses and between the sheets for bedbugs, but found none.

Overall, this Days Inn did in a pinch, but their weekend rate was $10-15 more than what most of the casino hotels were charging across the border in Nevada. Good idea to book a room in advance rather than try to find something an hour before arriving.
