We called ahead because we knew that we would be late, so late in fact, that we would not be able to cancel our reservations. Rarely do we stay at Rodeway anymore, and this place confirmed why. Usually, we stay at the Super 8, but we were hoping for something a little better. HaHa. They were nice enough to wait past closing for us, although we paid more than the $72 listed here.

The bathroom was so gross that none of us would shower. The sheets were thin. The thin bedspreads in the no smoking room had a cigarette burn. Breakfast was coffee and the last four mini-muffins, maybe orange juice.

The towels appeared to be new, and the flowers growing were pretty we noticed as we sped to McDonalds for breakfast that cost us as much (all total) as it probably would have to stay at the Holiday Inn Express that we noticed on the way out of town.

Promise: never again.

I agree with the last reviewer here. This was a very good value for the money. While the cons include limited parking, paltry free breakfast, and the fact I didn't get any shampoo, the pros are that it was clean, large for this style of hotel, and has helpful nice staff.

I probably would stay a little closer to the center or eastern end next time but this was close to the DUP museum, which has a very interesting medicine chest from a doctor who practiced there at the turn of the 20th century, as another reviewer commented.

If anybody has recommendations for not even good but just decent place to eat, please let us know.

This motel has clearly been upgraded since the older reviews were written. I stayed in two different rooms on two occasions. This is a no-fills standard motel, but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms looked like they were recently upgraded. The rooms had new refrigerators and microwave ovens. Free wireless internet. Surely not a honeymoon hideaway, but satisfactorily utilitarian at a bargain price.

I was reading the reviews on the hotels in Vernal, and I found Rodeway Inn with many distasteful comments, I belive what they say. DO NOT stay here. I was hired to clean, and they made me clean several rooms with one bucket of water, including the tub and sink, and toilet with all the SAME water and rag! Being a clean freak, I was discusted! I felt the sheets and they were nasty fabric, by which I mean, stiff, cheap fabric, very thin. I would never stay there! in fact I quit the next day! But I do have to admit, the owner I worked for was a very nice man, I did like him, but nice only gets you so far!
