“Excellent Place To Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

people found this review helpful

My husband and I have stayed in the cabins three times and we were very pleased with the cabins which are spacious and clean, and we enjoyed eating a nice breakfast every morning. It is a short drive to Bryce Canyon National Park from Tropic; and Kodachrome Basin State Park isn't far from Tropic, either. We spent four nights on our recent stay and we're looking forward to going back in the future. The friendliness of the owners adds to the experience of staying at the Inn.

Room Tip: Be sure to book many months in advance as this is a very popular place.

“Lovely Log Cabins”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

These detached log cabins appear to have been recently built and furnished inside with items made of logs. The bed head made of logs wouldn't have been out of place at Fred Flintstone's house The quality of the fitments along with good quality linen and a comfortable bed made for a very pleasant stay in the small town of Tropic.

In the morning a basic breakfast was served in the again pleasant reception area with seating available outside for the warmer days.

Only a few miles from Bryce Canyon, Tropic is a pleasant small town and is very conveniently situated for visiting the park and also for getting away from the bigger more expensive hotels.

“Great room”

We were upgraded from the economy room to a cabin because we were celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary. That was a very nice surprise! The cabin was very cute and very clean and it actually looked quite new inside. It was nice to be able to park right in front of the cabin too. We never made it to the free continental breakfast so I can't review that.

The pizza place attached to the hotel had great pizza and good prices but horrible service. We ate there both nights of our stay (10/26 and 10/27) and both times the same waitress was working. Both nights there were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant but the service was bad. It took forever to get menus and water and we hardly ever saw the waitress. The the food did come out quickly though.

Room Tip: Definitely book a cabin!

“Quiet and clean”

We have reserved an economy room so we were not in a cabin but in a room behind the restaurant that seem to belong to the same owner. I was a little scared when the lady at the office told me that but as soon as we saw the room, it was OK. Of course it was not a gorgous location but the room was clean and cute and the place seem quiet. We were more than OK staying in that room. The price was also correct for what we got. The free continental breakfast was very good. I would stay there again without a problem. I'm not scared to recommend the Bryce Canyon Inn.

Room Tip: There are cabins but also rooms in a building behind the restaurant... so you know before you make y...

“Peaceful and comfy”

Staff were very friendly and I was checked in quickly, with no hassles. My cabin was right next door to the reception building, which was at the side of the main road through the small town of Tropic. I was actually expecting a more remote location but this didn't detract from my enjoyment of the stay. The cabin seemed almost brand new, very clean and very comfortable. Everything worked without problem and there was plenty of space. The biggest benefit was not having any noise coming from rooms above, below or to the side. Breakfast was served in the reception building and the staff there were very friendly, eager to chat and suggest places to visit. Breakfast itself was very good, a hug range of cereals, yoghurt, bread and well stocked supplies of coffee and juice it seemed more like a never ending feast, laid out and stocked in the neatest way I've ever seen. There was a pizza place less than a minute away on foot, a restaurant the same in the other direction, as well as a gas station and well stocked general store, though for the smokers among you the closest place to buy cigarettes is about 15 miles away at Ruby's General store near Bryce Canyon, so be warned and stock up!

Room Tip: Noise and lighting isn't really a problem, I don't think it really matters which cabin you...
