“I enjoyed myself and found this hotel pleasing.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

For a Best Western or comparable hotel I have been quite pleased with my stay here. The husband and I stayed here for 9 nights while he was out on business. The area is nice, the parking is generous and free, the room is clean and looks freshly painted, and there is an actual thermostat for the room. I hiked the 16 miles with detour out and back during my stay and enjoyed it very much. The room also comes with fridge/freezer and microwave combo. The breakfast was a money -saver, lots to choose from! The bed is comfortable, the linens look clean, the carpet has a few stains but the room smelled clean, the tv works fine, there are also plenty of places to sit ( a table with 2 chairs, a soft chair by the window, and a computer table with rolling chair.) I enjoyed myself and found this hotel pleasing.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We are glad you enjoyed your recent stay with us and will concentrate on working on the items you did address as negative. Our breakfast will soon be expanding even more with a remodel of the Maple Room scheduled mid-February so we hope you soon return to enjoy the enhancements. Once again, thank you for choosing to stay with us and we appreciate the feedback.

“Noisy Location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving week. The older location was recently repainted and upgraded. One wall in the room was painted a very bright RED. Our first room was very NOISY due to the trucks coming and going at the Flying J truck stop across the street. After 2 noisy nights, we asked to be moved to a room overlooking the pool. That was a big improvement.

The breakfast was only mediocre. Fruit was small and not very tasty. The breakfast attendant doled out one bannana at a time.

“Driving a truck from the Twin Cities to Las Vegas.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

This place was great!! Everything was clean and the beds were incredibility comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was wonderful, with the waffle option AND French Toast, sausage, fabulous scrambled eggs, plus all the other usual breakfast options - cereal, yogurt, etc. Plus, there was a Denny's right across the street for an quick and easy dinner. If I find myself in that area again, I'd make sure this is where I'd stay!!

“BEDBUGS.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

Pretty area, and there is indead a mountain view. Unfortunately, everything else was horrific.

AIr conditioner did not work well and room was warm. Room was generally not terribly clean (I found another traveler's items there on my first night which suggested poor cleaning job), and my pillows were horrendous.

Worst of all, my second night I snapped awake to find my bed crawling with bedbugs. I immediately snapped awake, showered and checked out. Night desk person was on duty and manager was not present. When I spoke with manager he initially agreed to offer me a Best Western room pass for the future and to reimburse me for the cost of new luggage and laundry (approximately $150.) Unfortunately, when I spoke with him later he had changed his mind, would not return my calls, and refused to compensate me for the cost of the room. He actually had the gall to blame me for the bedbugs. According to him, a box I had had shipped to the hotel (my second evening) was a main source of the bugs. To me, this is ludicrous, as bedbugs typically aren't known to infest cardboard boxes or catalogues. I also found it extremely disappointing that the manager would not immediately go above and beyond to make up for the experience. Unbelievable, and I do not recommend for reasons of cleanliness and customer service.

Room Tip: Stay in Provo.
