We arrive at about 11:00 at night, there is a car blocking the entrance where you go in to register (curb-side under their over-hang), a man is talking to the occupants of the car.
I park elsewhere and go and check in and get the keys to our "non" smoking room. The car blocking their main entrance? A staff members friend or family. The guy talking to them? A member of staff (maybe the manager?). We had sat there and waited several minutes for the vehicle to move, they looked at us and it was obvious what we were waiting for. Seems odd to have your staff blocking your main entrance, doesn't it?
We get into the room and it totally stunk of smoke. It was a non-smoking room that had obviously been smoked in. A lot. It was too late to go anywhere else so we stayed. I won't do that again. I won't pay for poor service and a crappy room again. It was my fault for staying but they did not give us what they advertised, and they could teach their staff how to better serve their customers.
