“Wonderful Honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

My new husband and I stayed in the Wine and Gold room for 2 nights for our Honeymoon. Our welcome was genuine, the room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The bathtub "Ooh La La", breakfast both mornings was fabulous, the nostalgia and feel of this house was so neat. Both mornings we had very pleasant conversation with the owners and received a warm hug from both. We would definitely visit again. Next time perhaps the "Cowboy Room".

“Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

We had a wonderful visit to the 1887 Hansen House. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased. Upon our arrival Fran quickly checked us in, and showed us to our room, with 2 cups of hot chocolate. We stayed in the Victorian Room, which was very nice and clean. It was tastefully furnished and very romanic. We were in the area to located a house, and Fran an Ed were very helpful with suggestions of areas to look for. Ed (Fran's Husband), was a very friendly gentleman, who we very much enjoyed our conversations with him. Breakfast was a treat each day! This is not your typical B&B breakfast. We had Waffles with fruit, Eggs Benedict, Stuffed French Toast and Homemade Doughnuts with Eggs, Bacon and Hash Browns. You will not leave hungry! Fran will give about a 10 minute history of the house, which is very interesting and it turns out that house was actually built by Ed's ancestors. The house is decorated with authentic period furniture which fit perfectly. We highly recommend this Inn, you will be happy that you stayed here!

“Loved our stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

This B&B was very charming and a very well put together victorian home. We stayed in the main house in the Blue Lagoon room. The home is lovely and I felt as if I had taken a step back in time with all of their antiques and nicely appointed rooms.

The thing we loved most is Fran and her husband. She was always helpful and her husband is just a sweetheart. We enjoyed talking to her during breakfast, which was always delicious and filling (in fact my husband declared her delectable breakfast sandwich the best he had ever eaten), and she was always trying to stuff us full with more food. I felt as if we were leaving a friend when we checked out.

I enjoyed the neighborhood. It was quiet and peaceful, except for the occasional light rail train passing by. It wasn't too noisy, and they quit running by about 10:30 pm. We took a stroll along the park way that borders the trax line, and enjoyed a nice warm fall afternoon sitting on a bench. The platform to board the train is just about a block and a half from the house, and a nice alternative to driving through the city.

We will not forget our stay here because we felt so well taken care of. We have visited many B&Bs in our lives, and this is the one I am most fond of, primarily because of the people we had the time to get to know.

“The hosts were very sweet.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2010

We enjoyed a week at the Hansen house. They went way above what they needed to do, picking us up at 1 a.m. at the train station and dropping us off there at 3:45 a.m. with a bag of fruit and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls. We also rented a car and they took us there and back. The house has a load of history, is very close to the slopes (we're skiers), is right across from the light rail, and Fran made something yummy and homemade at every breakfast including doughnuts one day--and she encouraged us to take fruit with us. Ed was also a dear and such a gentle soul. We enjoyed our stay very much.

“We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2009

We got a night's stay here as a gift and loved it! We've only been to one previous bed and breakfast and we would definitely stay here again over the other one. The food was DELICIOUS! Especially the yummy donuts. We loved the company of the owners and other travelers - we also loved hearing the history of the house. It was really interesting. We had to leave but wished we could have visited longer. The bed (Blue Lagoon) was large and comfortable. We slept great! The jetted tub was large and nice. It was a great way to relax! We would recommend it to anyone and would love to return!
