“Dissapointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2009

Did not have what web page promised. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. The pool was empty and closed. No breakfast as advertised. No microvave or fridge as advertised. Office was hot and not very clean. Tried to put us in rooms that were more expensive than what we had booked online. The staff did correct that.

Stayed July 2009

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2008

I'm trying to stay away from chains and we were just driving through Richfield. This looked like they have done some, not much, renovations, so we stopped. Very simple, very clean and very cheap! It's a motel right out of the 50's but they have new carpet, beds etc and it was simple and clean. $39 a night was quite the bargain. Be sure to eat at Small Wonders Cafe down the street.

“Definitely not three star property”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2007

This is an old, somewhat tired motel. The rooms are fairly large and seemed to be clean. The staff was helpful.

The pool was cold and gross; it looked as though no-one had used it (and certainly not cleaned it) in years. We left before breakfast was served, so cannot comment on that.

The best part was that the price was reasonable. However, there are many motels in town and others would be worth looking at before you select one.

“Budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2007

The hotel is roughly in the middle of Richfield, there are plenty of places to stay in the town. I was worried about this stop, as it had been a last minute booking and I thought I had booked a different hotel in a different town! Only came to light while driving along the interstate, lucky for me, the other town wasnt too far away.

Anyway, with some trepidation, we booked in. The rooms were ok. Its a budget priced hotel, so naturally the rooms reflect that.

My parents room seemed fine, but ours smelt of cigarettes in spite of it being a non smoking room. Plus the bedding was dirty and the toilet backed up when we flushed it. I went straight to the desk, and the man immediately changed our room for a bigger one, there was no hesitation at all, and he showed concern for our discomfort. Later we saw him go to the other room to sort the problems out.

There was a pool and a small complimentary breakfast.

  • Liked — Staff attitude
  • Disliked — Accomodation and town a bit noisy at night

“Reasonable and very adequate”

This motel is located on Richfield's Main Street which is also Highway 89.
It is moderately priced, and the staff is polite. The bedding is a little worn, but is clean and the rooms are nice sized. There is a microwave, but
what we thought was a small frig is actually a bar. There is a pool and
the chipped ice is readily available. The continental breakfast is very
adequate, self-served near tables set up in the office.
We have stayed there before and would stay there again.
