“Poor service + poor hotel= Bad Experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

We stayed at this hotel because it was a good stopping place on our trip back from California to Denver, Colorado. Also, the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't all that good. The woman behind the front desk was rude, short with her answers to my questions, and not very helpful. When we asked for extra towels to accommodate my family of give (room only came with 3), you'd think we were asking her to stop the world from rotating. Our room was okay, but we could tell what color hair the person who stayed before us had because her long black hair was still stuck to the walls of the shower. Didn't look liked they cleaned that well. The free breakfast from the restaurant was horrible. Rubbery pancakes and tasteless eggs. The pool and jacuzzi was full with about 30+ kids and the two adults that were there were drinking beer in the pool. Plus, there were no towels. I asked for more and the front desk said they were cleaning them. Had to walk back to our room dripping wet. Won't stay here again.

“best staff in the world...caring and attentive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

my father was in a very serious motorcycle accident and taken to richfield, utah. the owner, sam, came personally and took him from the ER to the hotel. the staff was above and beyond amazing. the service all around is the best i have had in all my worldly travels.

the cleaning staff would take their own initiative to bring us anyting we needed...coffee, drinks, etc. the hotel manager, hiedi, was also more than helpful and attentive.

this hotel was very clean, the pool was immaculate and the water was clear. the restaurant had good food and the staff, again, was fantastic. the value of the hotel was amazing.

upon our departure, the entire staff came to send off my father and i with good wishes, prayers and assistance to the car.

if i ever make it near this destination, i will come back to just simply stay and visit the staff! this hotel should be a benchmark for service in every industry.

“adams family meets hick......dirty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

3 day stay. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. Receptionist was smoking as she followed me into the hotel to check me in. Stuck me in the basement. Room numbers were written in marker on the door. the bathtub was moldy, the towels were stained..possibly dirty. Absolutely no plugs were accessible. I had to move the furniture and was that a scary experience...ewww.CLoset shelves had a 1/4 inch of dust on top of them. No fridge and their "internet" was NOT wireless. I don't think they've remodeled since the 80's. the early 80's. It would have been cleaner and cheaper to stay at a campsite. Carpet is worn through and coming up..major hazard good thing I have my tetanus shots up to date.. NEVER STAY HERE...EWWWW!!!!!

“Very nice room in convenient location”

I was skeptical about staying here based on recent reviews but was more than pleasantly surprised with my stay. I chose it based on low price. When I drove up to the check in counter I had to avoid running over some expendable children that I think belonged to the hostess, who didn't seem concerned that the kids were chasing each other around my car.
Check in was quick and easy. The decor was rather cozy and the rooms nicely decorated, with adequate room, seating, and appliances. There was a small kitchenette-type counter and an intensely warm heat lamp in the bathroom. Down the brick hallway was a computer with internet access.
I stayed on the second floor above the lobby and it was quiet all night.
The hotel is located on the main street through town, so dining locations are within a few blocks.

“Everything except the breakfast was gross”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

The hotel was a mile off the hwy in Richfield UT (seems like a nice town). Walked into a lobby that smelled like smoke. Greeted by a clerk who was kind put not dressed very professionally. Used a very old luggage cart to wheel our luggage to an antiquated room. The room has brick walls, wore out cabinets, old bed spreads, chipped counter tops, durst all behind tv and on cables, caulking in bathroom that needs to be replaced and a shower head with lots of calcium deposits. There was free internet, but I had to go the front desk to get a short ethernet cable to connect. WIFI IS A MUST FOR ALL HOTELS IN THE YEAR 2010! You can't access internet on a smart phone or ipad with an ethernet cable (was unable to download movies into the ipad for my kids to watch on our drive the next day.

Sleep was horrible, beds were VERY hard. I like to run the AC fan at night in hotels to hide the noise of other travelers, but the fan sounded like a MACK TRUCK. Something was very wrong for it to be soooo loud and blow out so little air. Heard doors slam in the hallways throughout the night.

The free hot breakfast was served in a restaurant adjacent to the property was great. I had biscuits and gravy and hash browns. This was the cheapest hotel on hotwire for Richfield, but it was not cheap enough. Morning staff at the front desk was very kind as was the restaurant staff. Breakfast was not served till 7am which is a little frustrating when you want to hit the road early.
