“This place is not acceptable!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2010 via mobile

We checked in at 9pm. The front desk placed the 3 of us in a king bedroom. We asked to be moved to a room with 2 queens. No problem. The door didn't work. The wife was not happy. She went to the front desk and asked to leave the hotel! The front desk was happy to cancel our reservation. I asked specificly if we would be charged anything. The front desk stated no nothing at all. We checked in to the laquinta hotel down the road. I went online and discovered the courtyard charged my credit card 370.00! I was not happy! We called the courtyard and the front desk person stated that he didn't know why it charged me! Not acceptable!

“Sleepless night”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2010
1
person found this review helpful

My daughter and I had been traveling in the car all day. I stopped in because we were too tired to surf the internet and find a deal.

I should have surfed.

We paid $99/night and it was worth MAYBE $40. It was a sleepless night.

The bed wasn't comfortable, but the KICKER was that it was hot and the A/C fan in our room (304) rattled periodically. And, I'm not talking a quiet rattle. So, we would melt if we turned it off. But, let me tell you what I was doing at 1:44, 2:37, 4:22, and 6:06 am -- you guessed it! I was checking the time because I couldn't sleep because of the rattle.

The pool was fine -- but the pool towels were ratty.

Breakfast was very unimpressive. First of all there was a hotel employee (with a book, passing his time) verifying that we were actually guests of the hotel. Excuse me, do people seriously come in to steal 1/2 of a dry costco muffin?
Is there sugar for the ceral? no.
Is there butter for the muffin? no.
Is there any more fruit? no.

Bleck.

The front desk attendant was very nice. But, nice doesn't get you a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast.

The ONE good thing is that they allowed us to check out 1 hour later.

“Just.....okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2010

Staying here tonight en route to Moab tomorrow. The front desk staff is great1 Very cheerful, helpful & professional. Room is rather darkish and in much need of an update; wooden furniture has scratches (some very bad), Bathroom with the toilet & shower area is poorly lit; sink is jsut outside the bathroom door and the countertop area is very small and again----poor lit. TV reception good as is the WiFe.

The TGIF attached is okay. The complimentary menu in the rooms here is out of date so the meals we chose to order when we were seated there....not even on the menu (IF they ever were! Bait & Switch perhaps????). Worse iced tea I have EVER ordered anywhere. My husband's Newcastle Ale was not very cold, but better than my tea! Our meal was average; not good enough to want us to also try their buffet (NOT complimentary, but $5.95 if you buy the coupon here & $6.95 if you buy at TGIF). Guess we will just hit Mickey D's.

There is a newer Springhill Suites by Marriott next door and I wish we had chosen there instead. Though nothing is truly wrong with this hotel, we just prefer a more current decor!

“Good Hotel, Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2009

Nice hotel, great location. Large room with sink outside of bathroom. Some construction in Jan '09 (on another Marriott hotel) across the parking lot; work began at 8am and ended at 5pm. Looks like they'll be done in a couple of months. A typical Courtyard; nothing special, nothing bad, predictable.

  • Liked — Convenient, quiet location
  • Disliked — Crowded parking lot due to construction

“Very nice hotel... rotten restaurant attached”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2009

Marriott Courtyard has very dedicated employees and prove themselves hourly as professionals. What great people to do business with. My experience with the employees is among the best I have ever experienced from any overnight stay in my professional flying career. The rooms are clean... housekeeping is first class... they do everything they need to do including changing all the bedding daily. All the bedding includes bedspreads. Separate that from the restaurant attached to the building. Do all you can to stay away from the restaurant. You will spend $20 or so per meal and go away knowing you were served by kids that do not care as long as you show your money.

  • Liked — The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel.
  • Disliked — The restaurant stinks.
