“Luxury Suites....NOT!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

people found this review helpful

We ended up at this hotel because the Holiday Inn and Best Western were full. The marquee touts this place as "Luxury Suites." It was anything but. The room smelled like bug spray. The bedspreads were nasty and the room was not very clean. The bed was okay, but the pillows were rock hard. The floors are laminate, which is better than carpet in such a place. Sad, depressing room. Would not stay again.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room before you commit to staying there.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to express your comments about your recent stay at the Greenwell Inn.

First of all, I apologize that you felt mislead about the quality and value of our guestrooms. The Greenwell Inn offers different room types; Luxury Suites, Mini Suites, and Guest Rooms. I understand that your experience certainly fell short of what you expected and I sincerely apologize.

Our guest's comfort during their stay is one of our top priorities. We regret to hear that the cleanliness of your room was a problem during your stay. I have personally discussed this with our Head of Housekeeping and action is being taken.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. I know you may be reluctant to return, but we would be happy to welcome you back. If you are in our area, please contact me directly at Christie@Rlkcompany.com so I can assure your stay exceeds your expectations.

Warm Regards,

“Not Happy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

For the price, $80.00, this was not a good deal. Beds are so-so for. Room had a VERY strong smell of Lysol type cleaner. Made us wonder what had happened in the room requiring so much cleaning fluid. Towels were small, threadbare, and stained. If we were not so exhausted we would have gone elsewhere. Our advise - keep on driving.

Dear Guest,

We appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns in regards to your stay at the Greenwell Inn. I apologize that we clearly fell short of your expectations. I want you to know that in a recent meeting with the Head of Housekeeper, I addressed your concerns of the type of cleaner our housekeepers are using and the towels. We are taking action on both of these matters.

I hope that you give us another opportunity to serve you as one of our guests. If you are traveling through our area, please contact me personally at Christie@RLKcompany.com so that I can arrange a discounted price for your previous experience.

Best Regards,

“Wretched Internet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

This was our 4th visit to the Greenwell Motel over a 18 year period. Rooms are still very well maintained/remodeled. The hardwood floors seem more sanitary

than the usual dubious carpet. We spend approximately 60 nights per year at motels across the US (job travel and recreation)

COMMENTS:

The bed sheets are not fitted. Try not to look at the piece of unfinished plywood under the mattress that make these beds "comfortably firm". A/C is good.No

breakfast, just a 15% discount at the adjacent restaurant.

Prices at the Greenwell are comparable to the Best Western across the street

The wi-fi Internet access is horrible. Expect a disconnect every 10-15 minutes..Also some sites seem to be blocked.(Like Tripadvisor, pingtest.net, ). Don't

expect any useful help from the 20-y.o.- somethings at the front desk. The motel is mostly staffed by pleasant but clue-less kids.Don't expect ANY

knowledgeable information..on any topic. Honestly!

I'd cheerfully love to give this clean, very decent hotel.. and adjacent (real/not fast food) restaurant,at door parking, nice /modern/bathrooms, etc., a much

higher rating. However I believe that the average traveler today requires solid internet service...just like phones,AC,TV,etc were the standard in prior

decades.

Certainly this isn't a facility for business travelers..despite its "convention center" pretensions.

Dear Ridem1953,

I wanted to thank you for your feedback about your stays with us at the Greenwell Inn. I apologize for the wireless internet inconvenience you encountered during your visit. Since your stay, we worked with our local internet provider to install an efficient wireless system that would be able to handle mass amounts of guests at one time on the property.

We appreciate your kind comments regarding the cleanliness and comfort of your room.

Thank you again for bringing the internet issue to our attention; comments like yours allow us to continue to improve our facility. We hope that we will be the motel you choose for your 5th visit when passing through Price, Utah.

Sincerely,

Christie Krompel

“You arenin Utah; keep your expectations very low!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011 via mobile

If Holiday Inn Express is booked, this might be your best alternative. That being said, the room was large, sheets were clean but stained, roaches in my cup in the morning, gross bedspread. Floor was wood laminate; not
Super clean, but loads better than carpet. It was nice to park at the door of our bottom story room. It was amazingly quiet. Free Internet service in room was a plus. Indoor pool and hot tub looked clean. All said, it was okay but one has to remember they are in Utah; it is a tough place to find a decent hotel. The good ones fill up fast. I won't drive
Thru again without better planning and confirmed reservations at tolerable lodgings.
