“Somewere between a B&B and a hotel”

I saw the review that compared this hotel to Wal Mart and just had to jump in. I've stayed there twice and the second time it definitely felt more institutional than under the previous owners but not Wal Mart or Holiday Inn. Park City is a great ski resort but the lodging is lacking so Imperial House is probably one of the better places especially for solo travelers or if you're on a budget.. Breakfast is definitely not what you get at a B&B. The two really nice B&Bs have closed so this is probably your best bet if your a B&B person.

“Early 1980s”

We stayed for three nights in late February. The B&B IS conveniently located, but that's the most we can say. The common areas smelled terrible and very poorly decorated (think Wal-mart.) The inn staff were friendly and tried hard, but they didn't think about simple things like water glasses in rooms or sweetener for coffee at breakfast. Meals were very simple, even microwaved, and never garnished or dressed at all. Our room, one of the nicest, had terrible bedding and a brass head board that squeaked every time we rolled over.
It was truly pretty terrible and we were thankful to get out each morning.

“Cozy and cute”

We went in the off-season at the end of April. Overall the place is charming with antique furnishings and a cozy atmosphere. We stayed in the bluebird room on the third floor. The bed was very comfortable with down pillows and comforter topped with a beautiful quilt. The Roman tub was very relaxing, but the water came out tinted green, which I assume is due to the old copper piping in the building. Our room did not have complimentary robes as is suggested on their website, and we did not see any hot tub in the building either as some websites suggested. Breakfast in the morning was great with blueberry pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit including kiwis and pineapple. Parking is available and convenient just across the street. All of the main street shops are within walking distance. We would go again given the chance.
