“Be EXTREMELY cautious of cancellation policy”

Made reservation in August for the week before Christmas. The first week of October (2 1/2 months before Christmas) I had to cancel. Hotel nailed me for 1/2 of the deposit which amounted to a sum of $711. No matter how nice the hotel, don't stay here unless you are absolutely sure you can make the trip. I have stayed in the best hotels in the world and have never dealt with a policy like this.

“Perfect down to every detail...”

I'm a picky traveler..."discerning" would be a better word. I stayed at Hotel Park City in January, and I couldn't find one bad thing to say of my time in Cottage 444, with a view of the mountain, overlooking a pond with diving ducks.
I was overwhelmed by the look of the room when I unlocked the door for the first time- spacious and upscale in decor, ruggedly classy I'd call it. Granite counter tops in the kitchen and both bathrooms, fine and very clean appliances, including a washer & dryer, plush bedding and a fireplace under the flat screen TV in the totally cozy bedroom, and another fireplace in the family room are all features that made the cottage feel like I really lucked out with my hotel choice. The outside deck with the large hot tub and fireplace confirmed it. Every detail to this place was well-planned with the vacationer in mind. This cottage was likely the nicest room I've ever stayed in all of my 44 years. I paid about $350, though rooms were going for $800 online at the time.

The only thing they need to do in order to get a perfect 10 rating instead of a 9.99 from me would be to add an iPod or iPhone dock or connection to the Bose stereo system. The radio reception there is terrible and was the only music option.

Suggestion: If you stay here and get a cottage (there are 4 to a building) I would recommend you request a 2nd-floor unit. If you're on the first floor and the unit faces the street or entrances, you will have little privacy, especially in the hot tub. Having a 2nd-floor unit made a HUGE difference in privacy, and therefore, in enjoyment.

Room Tip: Get a 2nd-floor cottage if you want full privacy in your personal hot tub.

“Sundance Film Festival 2012”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

My guests and i returned to Hotel Park City this year for the Sundance Film Festival and we were treated with the same professional attention that keeps us coming back. Head Concierge Mike Hess goes above and beyond expectations from the smallest detail to the difficult request. The property is world class and the staff is as well. Including: Front Desk: Cathleen Morris, Okchu Jordan, and John Keter. Managers: Tim Paget, and Raul Flores. Concierge: Whitney White Koslowski,Jude Grinpas and of course, Mike Hess who is very definition of customer service. I will continue to stay at Hotel Park City whenever i visit Park City, Utah. Additionally, the entire housekeeping staff deserves a big thank you for working around our schedules and doing a fantastic job. This hotel succeeds because of these people. Thank you HPC!!! Many returns. Eric.

Room Tip: Casitas by the lake

“Very Special Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

As the #3 rated property in Park City I knew it would be nice but I was not prepared for how exceptional this hotel really is. The lobby and grounds were impressive from the start but when we walked into our cottage suite we were blown away by the spaciousness, the view, the decor and the every attention to detail. Nothing was missed. The full kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is as comfortable as it gets, the two full bathrooms were second to none and the private hot tub on the deck was the icing on the cake. I have found my favorite spot in Park City and will not even consider a different place to stay. Loved it!!

“Loved Hotel Park City!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The staff at Hotel Park City was the most friendly and accommodating of any hotel in which we have stayed. The rooms were very nice and well appointed. It was easy to get into town and to the slopes. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Park City. We are really looking forward to our return trip to Hotel Park City.
