“High End Accomodations Ski-in Ski-out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

We arrived at The Lowel impressed by how beautiful the hotel was inside and out with great views of the mountain, working fireplace in a spacious high end contemporary setting I would normally only associate with a four star hotel. We and our children had an even better vacation knowing they could go on their own to ski when they wanted, eat when they wanted and go back to the hotel when they wanted (without any burden on the parents) since they could walk a short few steps to the ski lift as well as all the restaurants and base lodge. We had guests over for dinner in our unit and it was nice to entertain somewhere where we were as comfortable staying in the unit to have dinner as eating out since the kitchens were so high end and the living rooms were so spacious - especially when you compare to other ski accomodations that are cut-up just to accomodate the max beds and have little living area to have fun together at the end of the day.
The work out facilities were very nice and convienent. It was the right choice being at the base of the Park City Mountain resort and in the middle of the village there, but know that there are also great restaurants for dinner in the Town of Park City a couple of minute drive away.

“Wow This Place Is Brand Spanking New and Terrific”

The Lowell is a brand new super high end hotel right at the base of the Park City Mountain Resort. While it is a bit pricey its location makes up for the price. It is just a few steps to the lift lines and next to great eating and shopping.
The hotel itself is super high end with sub zero kitchens, granite counter tops, huge marble bathrooms and first class service.
There is a fully equip gym, with outdoor jacuzzi and lap pool. The 4 bedroom unit we stayed in was super well furnished and just great.

Room Tip: The three bedroom units are tops but the two bedroom units that face the courtyard are good but lack...

“Top location for sking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2006

We have just returned from 11 night ski holiday in Park City. We choose The Gables for the location and were not disappointed. Almost "ski in and out" with just a short walk across of about 150 meters. We had a one bedroomed condo on the third floor which was spacious and well equiped. The units are obviously well used and are due to be refurbished this summer, but the bed was excellent, there was endless hot water and we never heard neighbours. We had clean towels every day, clean linen after three days and a daily cleanup in the kitchen. The ski hire shop beneath the condo provides overnight storage for skis and boots. The bus service to The Canyons, Park City, supermarket, Deer Valley etc is on the doorstop. We paid about $US300 a night for this accommodation, which is expensive, but for us the location was worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of being right next to the lifts.

This review was posted before The Lowell was constructed. The property was previously called The Gables Hotel. Although the location is the same, The Lowell features brand-new luxury suites, boasting a brilliant mix of mountain indulgence and avenue design. Each detail has been carefully composed for the perfect balance of contemporary sophistication and rich amenities, combined with proximity to unrivaled recreation, superior beauty & timeless memories.

“OK hotel - great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2004

The hotel is in a great location if you want to be right on the mountain. It is right in the heart of the village. The problem is that the village has only 2 restaraunts and no store so you end up taking the bus into town to eat. The rooms are spacious and the Spa tub in the bathroom is very nice. The best part was th real wood buring fireplace and the balconey. I will stay somewhere else next time fro there are many condos within walking distance that offered a better deal. The worst part was the constant sound of running water through a pipe in the wall. It never stopped the entire time. If you rent a car or drive tothis place you will be able to cook but if you want to purchase grocery's it will be difficult. The little market in the village is a total rip off. $6 for eggs
