We stayed a few days in Comstock Lodge's condo #106 with another family. It was roomy with 2 BR's & 2 bathrooms (one with shower, one with shower/bathtub and NOT dated). The BR's had really comfy king beds and had a trundle bed which can be pulled out for the lil' tykes. The condo was exceptionally clean, which is my main priority. It also was the most well-equipped place we have ever stayed in. The log cabin decor and gas fireplace, along with excellent central heating, were very much appreciated in minus 5 degree nighttime temps!
New stainless steel appliances (incl. dishwasher), WiFi, big screen TV's in the living room and both bedrooms, comfy leather furniture, enclosed garage w/ elevator, and washer & dryer were all much appreciated. Too cold to use the patio BBQ, but the jacuzzi worked great and felt wonderful in the cold night air.
The condo is a quick walk (less than 5 min's) from the awesome Deer Valley Ski Resort (no snowboards allowed). Deer Valley has been rated the #1 ski resort in North America the last 5 years, has 22 lifts, 100 trails and elevations from 7200' to 9500'. The Resort stores your skis for free so you don't have to haul them back to the condo every night. The Resort food is pretty good but a little pricey. (The turkey sandwich is huge and delicious.)
We took the shuttle from the Salt Lake City Airport to our condo for $40 each one way. The driver gave us area info and got us to the Lodge in no time. Just outside Comstock Lodge is the free Park City Shuttle which gets you to Historic Park City Main Street in about 5 minutes. The free PC Transit system takes you to dozens of places in the PC area and you only have to wait 10 minutes or so. We didn't need a rental car...the shuttles are excellent and let you bring your skis and gear inside the van with you if desired.
I checked TripAdvisor for the best pizza in Park City and we went with Davanza's. It was delicious! However, next time I would have it delivered as the sitdown experience wasn't ideal.
The owners of #106, Doug and Terry, are amazingly accomodating and thoughtful. They also own #201 and let us stay there a few hours after our checkout from #106. 201 has a better view, being upstairs and on the end, but 106 seemed more recently decorated. BOTH condos were immaculately clean!
I cannot stress enough how nice it was staying in Comstock Lodge's #106. Give it a try!
