“Comstock Lodge, #106 and #201”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed a few days in Comstock Lodge's condo #106 with another family. It was roomy with 2 BR's & 2 bathrooms (one with shower, one with shower/bathtub and NOT dated). The BR's had really comfy king beds and had a trundle bed which can be pulled out for the lil' tykes. The condo was exceptionally clean, which is my main priority. It also was the most well-equipped place we have ever stayed in. The log cabin decor and gas fireplace, along with excellent central heating, were very much appreciated in minus 5 degree nighttime temps!

New stainless steel appliances (incl. dishwasher), WiFi, big screen TV's in the living room and both bedrooms, comfy leather furniture, enclosed garage w/ elevator, and washer & dryer were all much appreciated. Too cold to use the patio BBQ, but the jacuzzi worked great and felt wonderful in the cold night air.

The condo is a quick walk (less than 5 min's) from the awesome Deer Valley Ski Resort (no snowboards allowed). Deer Valley has been rated the #1 ski resort in North America the last 5 years, has 22 lifts, 100 trails and elevations from 7200' to 9500'. The Resort stores your skis for free so you don't have to haul them back to the condo every night. The Resort food is pretty good but a little pricey. (The turkey sandwich is huge and delicious.)

We took the shuttle from the Salt Lake City Airport to our condo for $40 each one way. The driver gave us area info and got us to the Lodge in no time. Just outside Comstock Lodge is the free Park City Shuttle which gets you to Historic Park City Main Street in about 5 minutes. The free PC Transit system takes you to dozens of places in the PC area and you only have to wait 10 minutes or so. We didn't need a rental car...the shuttles are excellent and let you bring your skis and gear inside the van with you if desired.

I checked TripAdvisor for the best pizza in Park City and we went with Davanza's. It was delicious! However, next time I would have it delivered as the sitdown experience wasn't ideal.

The owners of #106, Doug and Terry, are amazingly accomodating and thoughtful. They also own #201 and let us stay there a few hours after our checkout from #106. 201 has a better view, being upstairs and on the end, but 106 seemed more recently decorated. BOTH condos were immaculately clean!

I cannot stress enough how nice it was staying in Comstock Lodge's #106. Give it a try!

“Comstock Lodge #204 Deer Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

As a family of 4 with 2 young girls we loved staying in the Comstock Lodge and skiing the local Deer Valley resort.
The unit (#204) has a spacious lounge\kitchen\dining area and is well fitted out. We used the hot tub on the deck every night after a day on the slopes, and appreciated the great views back up the valley to the lifts (ignoring the large car park right out front).
Buses stop within a few metres of the lodge and whisk you in a few minutes to Park City town, or the Park City ski resort. This meant we could easily jump a bus for a days snowboarding at PC - as D Valley is a ski only hill.
The unit has a log cabin kind of feel which is very cozy. The rooms are not huge and the bathrooms are quite dated, but overall a lovely place to stay so close to the ski lifts, and in early Jan (after the New Year holidays) we felt the rates were reasonable for the high standard of accommodation.

“Great location and cozy unit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

My husband and I and another couple stayed in unit #301 ("Sashquatch Lodge") in the Comstock Lodge for a 5 day/4 night ski trip. I'm a beginner skiier and the other people in my group are intermediate skiiers. The units are individually owned, and this unit was managed by a local company. The location is excellent; you can walk to the base of Deer Valley which is excellent for a group in which people want to start and stop skiing at different times during the day. It is also a quick trip to downtown Main Street, Park City, and Canyons and Park City ski resorts. The unit is very well equipped, clean and very quiet since it's the top floor and the end unit. Each room has a king bed and private bathroom. There's a hot tub on the balcony and a gas grill. The living room is super comfortable with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV, great for hanging out in the evening. Parking is covered under the building with an elevator. The owner quickly responded to my request for more laundry detergent; the management group brought it over the next morning. Overall, it was a great place to stay. Park City tip: Mustang and Shabu are excellent restaurants!!

“Deer Valley - A Wonderful Resort for a Family Ski Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 March 2008

My husband, 12 year old son and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks in January this year skiing at Deer Valley in Utah. Deer Valley is situated about 5 minutes by free shuttle from Park City and about 20 minutes from The Canyons.
We live in Australia so its a long journey to ski in the US but Deer Valley was definitely worth it. We flew to LA and then took a connecting 2 hour flight to Salt Lake City. From there its only about 40 minutes up to Deer Valley by car.
We had booked our condo via a vacation rental by owner website and we were delighted with our 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom condo in Comstock Lodge which was only a 5 minute walk to Snow Park Lodge (main facility for lift tickets, ski school etc) and the ski slopes. We have done a number of ski trips to the US and Canada and Comstock Lodge was by far the best accommodate we've ever had.
The condo was very roomy, exceptionally well appointed and spotlessly clean. The private hot tub overlooking the ski slopes was magic! The skiing in Deer Valley is sensational - well groomed and suitable for every level of skier. We were particularly impressed with the ski concierge service, you can leave your skis on mountain every night and collect them each morning (no charge for this ).
The restaurants on the mountain served wonderful food and were reasonably priced.
There is a couple of big supermarkets in Park City which are easily accessible by the free bus system. Most of the restaurants are in Main Street and we highly recommend Bistro 412 for fabulous french food!
