“Great off-season treat.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2012

Went for conference. Even off-season, hiking trails easily accessible from hotel provided spectacular views of the area. Rooms very clean & updated. Front desk exceptionally pleasant & service oriented. Complimentary shuttle will take u to & from bus stop with free buses to main tourist areas.

Room Tip: Avoid back overlooking power plant in off season.

“A Great Place to Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2012

I recently went to a conference at this hotel. Since I didn't have a choice as to where to stay, I was a little nervous based on the reviews I had read about this hotel. I worried for nothing! The rooms have been renovated and are not outdated as stated in previous reviews. The room was very comfortable. I had plenty of hot water, nice thick towels, and a full sized hairdryer (not the little one attached to the wall). My gas fireplace worked beatifully and took the chill out of the room at night. The bed was soooo comfortable. The lobby had plenty of comfortable seating areas. We ate at The Farm both nights and had a splendid meal both times! I can't say enough about the friendly wait-staff and delicious food we had there.
I believe the management has listened to the feedback and addressed concerns. Do not hesitate to stay here!

Room Tip: The King Deluxe is perfect for one, might be a little tight for 2.

“Perfect Location for Skiing - That's About It”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his work event, which was being held at the hotel. The overall location of the hotel on the slopes was great...with easy access to the lifts and their snow beach, with gourmet hot chocoloates. But, the hotel itself left a bit to be desired. Our room was just average and awkwardly decorated. The best part was the huge sink area in the bathroom. Although there were several dining establishments, it was difficult to find breakfast at 10am beyond their take-out place in the lobby. And the location on the mountain means that you'd have to drive into town for other options.

I did visit their spa as well for a massage and it was fine, however nothing to write home about.

Thank you for your kind words about our resort and our location with regard to the ski area. We are quite proud of many of the recent developments we have made at Canyons, including the gourmet hot chocolate, and we hope to continue to improve year over year.
Thank you for your feedback on our rooms. I am sorry to hear that your experience at the Spa was "nothing to write home about" as we do take great pride in our team's ability to pamper and provide a wonderfully relaxing experience. I would hope that you would return and allow us to prove ourselves to you in that facility.
Your concerns regarding breakfast will be noted as we hope to provide all our guests with extraordinary dining options throughout the Resort. We typically serve breakfast until 11:00am in our Alpine Breakfast Buffet and supplement this offering with the First Tracks Cafe in the lobby. We are always striving to improve and we will use your feedback to do so.
I hope that you may seek us out again in future travels as we are confident that we can utilize feedback such as yours to improve our Resort and, in turn, provide you with the extraordinary experience you deserve at Canyons.

“No hot water and too many fire alarms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2012 via mobile

This was my first tine to the area, and the hotel was difficult to find in the dark with all of the construction. The room was large with a nice kitchenette. There was no hot water for the shower. Maintenance came and told me to run both bathroom sinks and the tub on full until it became hot. That took at least 20 minutes, which seemed wasteful, but it was better than icy cold showers. One night we had a fire alarm and had to evacuate the hotel. The following night we had two alarms. It is no fun going out into the snow at 2 am in your PJs and coat.
